The centre, infant room has limited availability due to a small group of children per day, they couldn't cater extra days due to unavailability. Hence why I have to withdraw my baby as it was hard to put my child in 2 different centre. So I highly recommend anyone who's interested to be on waiting list in advance. Thi the centre manager has been very helpful and kind and professional. The educators in the infant room are easy going and patient. They overall have been great to us! Thanks again team.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

“Let the child be the scriptwriter, director and the actor in their own play” - Magda Gerber

Nursery Space: 6 weeks – 2 years

Learning starts from before birth, and our Educators have created a welcoming and nurturing nursery environment where each baby feels safe to explore and discover new things - through their senses, their communication and cues (body language, facial expression and sounds) and through experimentation. On any given day you can see the nursery children engaging in all types of play including sensory play, music time, story time and more. Every day provides a brand new, exciting adventure for our babies to support their development, learning and wellbeing.

Toddler Space: 2 - 3 years

Our teachers and educators encourage the children to learn through play to help enhance their sensory-motor development. This happens through carefully planned music, dance, games, role playing and reading experiences.

On any given day the Toddlers can be seen developing their numeracy by building a tower, sorting objects, pointing and identifying shapes and patterns and participating in counting songs and games.

Children in our toddler space are encouraged to participate in group play. Group play is important as it helps our toddlers develop important social skills such as, turn-taking, developing self-confidence and emotional self-regulation. Our skilled team helps children through talking, planning and role modelling.

Preschool Space: 3 – 6 years

Preschool is a unique time for learning with peers and developing skills for later learning including confidence and curiosity, important skills for starting school. Our play-based program has school readiness at its core, encouraging active engagement in learning and supporting a range of positive developmental outcomes including resilience, independence, critical thinking and creativity.

The oral language supports literacy learning and a child’s oral language ability is the best predictor for later success in learning to read and write. Hearing the sounds within a language is the first critical step for all literacy learning. Our team supports our Preschool children's literacy development by engaging in rich discussions, reading, storytelling, dramatic play and experimentation all of which introduce new vocabulary as part of everyday conversations.

Throughout the Preschool year, children use their language to share ideas, ask questions, express themselves, and connect with peers and adults in social settings.

Social-emotional skills, including the ability to self-regulate emotions, are supported through group learning experiences. Our team supports each child’s social and emotional development by labelling and talking about emotions and supporting appropriate responses as together, they engage in new and challenging situations. Our goal in the Preschool year is to prepare children and families for a smooth transition to primary school.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

Our centre chef prepares and cooks nutritious meals daily, catering to the unique dietary requirements of every child. We believe that by encouraging active participation (such as growing their own fruit and vegetables, preparing, and finally cooking!) children learn to appreciate and understand the importance of healthy eating across a wide variety of food.

Our centre offers seasonal whole food-based menus – created to delight the fussiest eaters.

Hi, my name is Chantelle, and I am the Centre Manager here at Community Kids Green Valley. I believe in guiding children with patience, encouragement, and respect so they develop the confidence and skills to reach their full potential.

I’ve been working in early learning since 2005 and joined Community Kids Green Valley in 2019. I hold a Diploma in Children’s Services, along with training in Child Protection and Food Safety Supervision. With more than 15 years of experience in the early education industry, I’ve learned that no two children are the same. Each child learns in their own unique way, and it’s important to recognise and celebrate those differences. That understanding shapes my teaching style to be flexible, open-minded, and responsive to each child’s needs. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where children can grow, explore, and thrive. I believe in guiding children with patience, encouragement, and respect so they develop the confidence and skills to reach their full potential.

Early childhood education offers so many learning benefits beyond what children experience at home. In our centre, children build important social skills, like sharing and collaborating, and take part in experiences that support their cognitive, language, emotional and physical development. Our play-based learning programs are guided by qualified educators and designed to set children up with strong school readiness skills, independence and confidence. We work closely with families to complement learning at home and help each child feel excited about their learning journey.

I’m proud to lead a passionate and dedicated team of early childhood professionals who bring a wealth of experience, creativity, and care to our early learning centre. We respect and support one another, and together we create a warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn.

I support families by being approachable, available and genuinely invested in their child’s wellbeing and development. I take time to listen, communicate openly and share each child’s milestones and achievements. I believe strong relationships start with trust, so I create a welcoming environment where families feel comfortable, connected and supported every step of the way.

I look forward to welcoming your family to our Green Valley childcare centre.

Highly recommend this childcare. The staff are so friendly and very accommodating to families and children. My son has been attending for 4 years and my daughter just started. Staff have helped my son in his social and emotional development, he has learnt so much while being there. Center is always clean and tidy, rooms are inviting and the food provided is always healthy with a wide variety. Staff are always happy to answer and questions, always approachable with a smile on their face no matter what time of the day it is. I know my son will miss them all when he goes to school next year. Thank you to the whole CKGV team!!
