About the Curriculum
About the Curriculum
To BE Me is Guardian’s exclusive learning program specifically designed for each age and stage of your child’s early years.
The program includes resources and tools that support learning and make it easy to see your child’s progress along Learning and Development Pathways.
It groups your child’s learning into seven areas to help you see this progress clearly. Each of these areas has behaviours or skills that are generally linked to each age and stage.
Children receive their own My Learning and Development Book, which is updated regularly with their progress.
To BE Me is underpinned by Guardian’s world class teaching program that has been developed over many years of research and thousands of hours observing how children develop.

Health and Nutrition
Health and Nutrition
We believe in nutrition for life, supporting children to develop healthy eating habits from an early age. Qualified Chefs and Cooks in our centres create fresh and nutritious meals each day, using seasonal, high-quality ingredients that align with Australian Dietary Guidelines.
Meals are designed to be delicious, introduce children to diverse flavours, and make eating healthy food a positive experience.
Managing allergies and intolerances is part of how we keep mealtimes safe and enjoyable. Every child’s needs are carefully tracked, meals are supervised by permanent educators, and allergens are strictly controlled.
Beyond providing wholesome food, we use mealtimes as learning opportunities. Children practice independence by serving themselves and engaging in conversations about food, building confidence and understanding of healthy choices.

There was a period of great flux and change of guard a couple of years back, but after that it actually became a very stable and well run operation. The staff were all very caring and professional and the management (Shruti & Manisha) always all the ball. They really strived to make improvements wherever possible and I found them both very pleasant and approachable. I always liked going to this place as it was the highlight of my day. Cant give 5 stars because of the parking situation, which was a daily battle that I hope has now been resolved. If so, consider it a 5 star review. Thanks for the nice memories Petit Barton. Our family had a terrible experience with Petit ELJ Barton in 2021. Our two children attended the centre for barely 12 months before we pulled them out due to multiple safety concerns. There were several occasions where my then 3 year old was able to wander off unsupervised for at least 5 minutes before anyone noticed, and on one instance my child an another child were found unsupervised spraying Glen 20 at each other. On one occasion when dropping my then 1 year old off later in the morning there were no educators in the toddler room with at least 10 children, several of them crying. When an educator arrived minutes later I was offered no explanation as to why the children were unattended for so long. On one occasion when I was picking my child up in the afternoon, I found two AA batteries on the floor in the toddler room and when I alerted an educator they didn’t seem to be concerned at all. During the time our two children were enrolled, there was a high turnover rate of staff and most of them seemed very detached and uninterested. I would highly recommend avoiding this centre. It made going back to work as a first time mum such a smooth, comforting experience. I am an antsy, 21 questions type of person which they dealt with such ease. Bub was 9-10 months when she started and settled in very quickly. Each day was always different and the education they provided was outstanding. She always had fun and loved it. Every day I walked into the centre the toys were well in rotation, clean and tidy. The reports everyday were very detailed, especially compared to the centre we are at now :( Bonus was the environments they had, small outdoors area with nature surrounding to the indoor-outdoor temperature controlled room. So on rainy days, kids still felt like they were outdoors. The educators, every single one of them including the director were always welcoming and inviting. Not the usual hi how you going, but the personalised conversations made the experience feel family like. One thing I absolutely LOVED is how every single worker greeted our baby from the second we walked in, they made her feel so special and this happened daily. I thought maybe just a honeymoon phase but nope it didn't end. Even when we had to change daycares due to personal circumstances, they gave her a farewell and made a memory book of all her experiences. It made leaving the centre more difficult. I would move back in a heartbeat if our circumstances were different. I couldn't personally thank them enough for all their hard work, care and everything they do to ensure your child is well looked after. Especially during the pandemic. Thank you Shruthi and entire team! Read more
