Edge Mount Barker - Adelaide Rd offers a comprehensive Preschool program (also known as kindergarten) taught by our university-qualified Early Childhood Teacher and educators. Our exclusive Teach A Rainbow education program for Preschool is designed to educate the whole child across 11 key learning areas including physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.

Our program is aligned to the national Early Years curriculum, which means children develop a sense of their identity, community and wellbeing. We aim to ensure children are confident learners who can communicate effectively.

Children turning 4 before the 1st May are eligible to start 4-year-old preschool at the beginning of the year. Children turning 4 between 1st May and 31st October can start Preschool through our mid-year intake.

We believe open and collaborative communication is essential to every child’s learning journey. That’s why we encourage families to connect with our Centre Leadership Team and educators for face-to-face conversations about your child’s development, whenever it suits your schedule. Designed with growing bodies in mind, our seasonal 4-week rotating menus are designed to be age-appropriate and nutritionally balanced, aligning with the Australian Dietary Guidelines to support healthy growth and development. Featuring a variety of whole foods and culturally inspired dishes, meals can be tailored to suit individual tastes, dietary needs, and allergy requirements—ensuring every child receives nourishing meals each day.
