We moved to the area recently and heard great things about the learning terrace. We were so fortunate to get our foot in the door with a couple days a week and so glad we did. What a beautiful daycare and educators particularly in the nursery room. As a first time mum I love taking him there and feel so happy picking him up after a great day he has had. He is always happy. They spend a great amount of time outside which the babies love getting into nature and exploring. The educators are very well informative of the day your child has had and are fantastic at attending to their needs. highly recommend The Learning Terrace. Read more

The learning terrace is the best daycare my children have attended , I am very sad that my 4 year old daughter was... The learning terrace is the best daycare my children have attended , I am very sad that my 4 year old daughter was the only one of my children who was lucky enough to attend this centre , the teachers and staff are an amazing bunch of people , They have help me and my daughter through some challenging behaviours as well as guided/ gave me advice on where to go and how to help Mackenzie be able to go to kindy in 2023 . The teachers and staff interact and work with the kids in fun ways , my daughter never comes home without a bag of dirty clothes in her bag because she’s always engaging in messy play and being a “kid” my daughter has been shown how and what emotional regulation feels like and looks like and how to fill all “your emotional cups” and why you feel like this and how others can help fill your cup. This was a huge learning curve for me also as my daughter would come to me and ask me to spend some time with her because she needed one of her cups filled … the educators are one of a kind and I’ve never meet such a beautiful bunch of people . It’s a real big shame that my older kids didn’t get to come to this school to be able to learn and grow with these educators teaching them. I am so appreciative of everything this school/daycare has done for me and my child and still do. Mackenzie has come in leaps and bounds and I’m so proud . When people ask me where does she go or if they need a daycare I always refer them to the learning terrace and will continue this. Thankyou to all of you for all your hard work and continued support and helping my child grow and help me mould her into the beautiful little human she’s becoming. Much love to all it’s going to be a sad last day for both me and My daughter when it’s time for kindy. Read more

We stumbled across The Learning Terrace when the centre was being built. We excitedly watched this amazing space grow on social media, following their growth and impatiently awaiting their opening. Not being from Raymond Terrace, we were prepared to travel from Newcastle as we saw the amazing possibilities of what the centre was offering. We had a four year old with some pretty big emotions, and we knew the benefits of outdoor play to support his behaviour. After trying to find just the right place for him close to home, we decided that The Learning Terrace was the perfect fit. We made the decision to move him, and we never looked back. The beautiful outdoor spaces gave him opportunities to climb, run and play in his favourite space - the creek bed. The educators worked so hard, and often went above and beyond to help him find ways to manage his big emotions, supporting him through transitions and moments where he just needed to be heard. They built relationships, not only with him, but with our whole family, and were always open to finding time to help us navigate situations as a family. They suggested outside agencies and worked with us to find the right fit to support him as he moved into the next chapter of his learning journey. This year, he has moved on to Kindergarten, but we have no doubt that his time at The Learning Terrace set him up for success in the classroom. He still speaks fondly of his educators and his time spent there, and to us, this is a sign of an early childhood setting that just gets it. Read more

When I was getting ready to go back to work after having my little one I was so scared and nervous to start... When I was getting ready to go back to work after having my little one I was so scared and nervous to start looking into sending my little one to daycare. I found The Learning Terraces Facebook page and instantly felt calmer and knew that is where I wanted to send my little one. Upon entering the center during a walk through I knew I didn’t need to look at any other centers and if there were no spaces available then we would wait until there was - we were lucky enough to be able to get a spot when we wanted 🙂 They say it takes a village to raise a child and this never felt more accurate to me until my little one started daycare. The educators have truly become like family and I am so so thankful for all they do - not just for my little one but also for myself. Any fears/issues or concerns they are there to help and guide us through it all and offer support and any advice or even just to listen. Every educator actually all staff involved at The Learning Terrace really do love what they do, they care about the children and would do anything they can to help. From the term research question where they unpack certain life skills to the weekly wrap up to the daily insight to what they get up to is truly amazing and such a wonderful thing to see and read about. I was a new mum and very nervous to return to work let alone even thinking about having my child in care. The... I was a new mum and very nervous to return to work let alone even thinking about having my child in care. The girls at The Learning Terrace were outstanding! They made our transition into our next chapter so easy. I was never nervous about my 8 month old son being in the girls care. Every time I needed something the girls were so attentive. Right down to my sons sleeping pattern they always tried to help as much as possible. My son also made such beautiful relationships. I can not recommend this daycare enough! I am so sad to be moving as I would still have my son enrolled! It will be such a hard act to follow for our sons new daycare. I am so so so thankful for all of the staff at The Learning Terrace! Our little one year old has just started at this family oriented centre. They genuinely care about the children in their care and look at each one as an individual instead of just a group of kids like other centres. They are truly a little family and we are so glad to be apart of it.
