(03) 9122 8782Welcome to Guardian Childcare & Education Bentleigh, a warm, spacious and vibrant early learning centre in south-east Melbourne. Our early childhood education programs are focused on play-based learning, and our team of qualified Teachers and Educators provide a stimulating environment for children aged six weeks to six years of age to discover the world in a safe and secure way.
Our Bentleigh child care centre is located on Boundary Road between South Road and Centre Road, which means drop-off before work has never been more accessible or convenient!
This light-filled, multi-level Centre has a mix of indoor and outdoor learning environments where exciting learning programs and practices come to life. Our Bentleigh day care centre highlights our natural environment, and we have designed resource-rich environments where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Our outdoor learning environments include herb gardens, a water play area, bike paths, natural play structures, and age-specific play areas.
Our passionate Educators value the role of families as a child’s first teacher. We’re committed to developing trusting relationships with children and their families by listening and responding to all aspects of their child’s learning and development. So, our approach is focused on the latest research and insights into learning programs and our children’s learning journey, with an emphasis on developing the specific skills they will need to thrive.
Our on-site cook prepares nutritionally balanced meals using fresh seasonal ingredients every day. To further explore food at the Centre, our Educators host cooking classes for the children to enhance their understanding of good nutrition and to encourage them to try new foods and flavours.

Programs
Programs
The centre programs revolve around the interests and skills of the children. The educators take a personalised approach to get to know each child, their needs and what interests them most. They then tailor the program to match.
With a mix of structured and unstructured play, the educators embed important foundational learning and skills throughout the day. What may seem like fun and play to the children or even to an outside observer, the educators carefully plan activities with real learning benefits. Whether it’s counting the chairs to put out at lunch or practising social skills through dress up play, the children are always growing, learning and developing.
Community is also a strong focus in the program. The educators make the most of their community connections to plan engaging incursions and excursions for the children to enjoy. This enhances their sense of belonging as they develop an understanding of the world around them.
Meet the team
Meet the team
The team at the centre is made up of a mix of accredited Teachers, experienced Lead Educators and passionate Educational Leaders. No matter the role they play in the team, each and every person is dedicated to nurturing and supporting the children in their care.
Unique to Guardian Childcare & Education is the role of Baby Ambassador. It is the Baby Ambassador’s role to get to know the youngest children at the centre and ensure their needs are met each and every day. They also liaise with the families to give added peace of mind that their baby is happy and well during the day.
The team is the heart of the centre. Each member is valued for the individual skills they bring to the team and the contribution they make. For this reason, staff turnover is low ensuring a consistent experience for the children.
Parent communication and involvement
Parent communication and involvement
At Guardian Childcare & Education, parents are invited to be directly involved in their children’s time at the centre. Parents can join their children for breakfast when they drop them off or come in at other times to share meals. They are also invited to join the children on excursions or at other events.
In the centre, parents will find Visible Learning Displays. This helps to track the children’s progress and provides a connection point to spark conversations between parents and educators. Parents and educators also use the StoryPark app for communication with the educators providing regular updates via this platform.
