I left this negative review due to serious concerns regarding both physical and verbal bullying in the Jacaranda Room. My child has frequently come home with injuries, yet no incident reports were provided to inform parents. When I proactively approached the room leader to understand the situation, I was shocked by her handling of the matter. She asked my son to identify, in front of the entire class, which child had hurt him. This approach was highly unprofessional. Her attitude was rude and arrogant. She stated that physical conflicts between boys do not constitute bullying, and that as long as injuries are not obvious, such behavior is acceptable and merely a “normal” part of interactions between young boys. Furthermore, she claimed that bullying becomes even more severe in primary school, and went as far as to say that in “white” childcare settings, children fight more aggressively and teachers are even less likely to intervene. I find such remarks ignorant, inappropriate, and suggestive of racial bias. I strongly disagree with these views. My child has attended four childcare centres in Sydney, and we never experienced such issues in the previous three. In those centres, any accidental injury was promptly reported, and parents were asked to acknowledge and sign incident reports. My child was always happy and willing to attend. However, at this centre, he has become extremely reluctant to go. He often tells me that certain children form small groups to bully him and other children. His anxiety and fear are deeply distressing for us as parents. Despite multiple attempts to communicate with the centre, no effective action has been taken. This has left me extremely disappointed in their management and educational approach. I have written this review calmly and objectively to state the facts and share my experience as a parent. I hope it serves as a reference for other families considering this centre, and I also urge the management to reflect on these issues and take them seriously.

Our daughter Chloe has been attending Little Steps for the past year, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care and love she has received. The educators are genuinely attentive, patient and nurturing — you can really feel how much they care about each child’s wellbeing and development. Chloe has grown so much in her confidence, independence and social skills since joining. The daily updates, photos and communication from the team have always given us peace of mind. The centre is clean, well-organised and has a warm, family-focused environment. A huge thank you to all the amazing educators for taking such wonderful care of Chloe. We truly appreciate everything you’ve done for her. Highly recommend Little Steps to any family looking for a safe and loving childcare centre!

I'm very happy with this childcare centre. The educators are very kind and patient, and they take good care of the children. There is a variety of food, fruits, and snacks available. The centre offers a rich mix of indoor and outdoor facilities. They also provide incursions and coaching programs. My child has settled in well and enjoys the time at Little Steps Early Learning Epping !

What an amazing childcare center! Highly recommended for those who have babies, toddlers and kids living in Epping. A center director, Ms. Sharon is a great person and she loves kids and always does her best to make all kids happy. Many thanks to Ms. Eva and Shammi for taking care of our son last year. My son has come to the Little steps in Epping for almost a year now. He has a very wonderful experience here. I don't know how to express my appreciation. The food in the little steps is much better compared to other CCs I have visited. There is another CC I just visited, their morning tea and afternoon tea is only either crake or sandwich, with only two kinds of fruits or vegetables provided. But little steps offers a variety of rich fruits and vegetables, milk and food. And the employees of little steps are very patient and enthusiastic. They always support and guide my son to learn and develop his skills. They provide opportunities for him to engage independently with tasks and play. They  display delight, encouragement and enthusiasm for his attempts. They support my son efforts, assisting and encouraging as appropriate. They motivate and encourage my son to face it positively when there’s a challenge. Special thanks to Eva and Shammi and other educators in Acacia Room. Their educators provide high-quality and professional services to my son to ensure his safety and health. They provide a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages my son grow up as well. My son becomes strong in his social, emotional and mental wellbeing. And my son now is cooperative, confidence, creativity, commitment, persistence, imagination and reflexivity in little steps from his educators. They worked perfectly. I really appreciate them.
