Treasured Tots director, Simone O’Brien, didn’t simply want to run a childcare and early education centre – she’s made it her mission to provide a nurturing environment that truly complements the wonderful home life parents and caregivers strive for. As the mother of three, Simone is well aware of how big a deal it is to be allowed to care for your precious offspring.

Getting the nutritional mix for the children in our care is given the highest priority. Our menu has been designed by a paediatric nutritionist to offer the ultimate combination of taste and quality. We’ll happily cater to any allergies or dietary requirements that your child may have.

Home is where you feel safe and secure – and our Hamersley centre reflects this. Light, airy spaces and a wonderful indoor/outdoor flow, combined with extensive facilities, offer children a secure environment that’s comforting and familiar.

The importance of the great outdoors is firmly ensconced in the Treasured Tots way. Children are free to play outside in our secure nature garden, learn about produce and help with the veggie garden, get up close with the pet chickens, and let imagination guide their curiosity as they explore the wonders of our stimulating outdoor play area.

Every family is encouraged to participate in their child’s Treasured Tots journey. From in-app updates to debriefs on pick-up, not to mention regular events for caregivers to be a part of, we’re committed to fostering the very best partnership with the whole family unit.

Our little learners have been diving into a vibrant, hands on sensory experience! Using a mix of coloured foam, clay, water, and natural materials, the children explored textures, colours, and cause and effect through play. As they squished, poured, mixed, and created their own mini worlds, they were not only having fun but also: ✨ Strengthening fine motor skills 🧠 Building cognitive connections through experimentation 💬 Developing social and communication skills as they shared ideas and discoveries 🎨 Expressing creativity and imagination 🌍 Engaging in early science concepts like texture, consistency, and transformation Sensory play encourages curiosity, supports problem-solving, and helps children make sense of the world around them. This beautiful provocation invites children to explore Noongar symbols using natural materials such as shells, gumnuts, stones, and seeds. Through these hands on experiences, children begin to understand that storytelling takes many forms, and that Aboriginal art is deeply connected to culture, Country, and identity. Through moments like this, we honour Noongar culture.
