We enjoyed our time at Little Star, and the teachers were warm, caring, and looked after my child very well. However, over the past few months we observed the centre more closely and were not impressed with the curriculum. At both pick-up and drop-off, the environment often looked dull, with limited displays of children’s artwork. The toys did not appear well organised or regularly updated.
In the past month, we also noticed fewer staff present, and the educator-to-child ratio seemed stretched. On several occasions during pick-up and drop-off, there appeared to be only one educator in a room, which resulted in fewer structured or stimulating activities for the children.
Based on our experience, we would not recommend Little Star to families who are looking for a strong focus on quality learning, particularly in the preschool room.

Thank you for your feedback, we’re glad to hear you found our educators warm and caring!
We would like to clarify that our service always operates within the required educator-to-child ratios, there has never been an educator closing the service alone. Toys and resources are regularly rotated and updated, alongside intentional learning experiences planned by our educators. As a service that values sustainability, we aim to use resources thoughtfully and realistically.
We appreciate your feedback and are happy to announce our new school readiness program is led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher and now includes language, STEM, weekly cooking classes and science experiments, numeracy and literacy experiences along with monthly incursions and excursions. Our educators actively encourage involvement while respecting that each child engages at their own pace.
