For children aged 1 to 3 years, Angels Childcare Centre offers a warm, welcoming and homely environment. The small class sizes create an intimate environment in which the children can receive individualised attention tailored to their needs, skills and interests. This is supported by skilled and experienced educators that are dedicated to providing high-quality education and care.
Indoors, the centre has two dedicated classrooms, each catering to a different age and stage of development. The rooms are well resourced to meet the needs of the children with space for individual learning and group activities.
In the outdoor play area, the children have a large sandpit, cubby house and ample grass to explore. They can also access the centre herb and vegetable gardens, which teach them about nature and caring for the environment. To protect the children from the elements, the play space is well-shaded with undercover areas that allow for all weather play.

Programs

Programs
Making the most of the different indoor and outdoor learning spaces available at the centre, the educators plan a mix of individual and group learning activities across an enriching program. The educators respect and value each child’s differences, with the program reflecting the diverse needs and interests of the children. The program is also inclusive for children with special needs and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
In addition to language, cognitive, social, emotional and motor skill development, the children also learn about cultural awareness and sustainability. They learn about their own culture and community, while at the same time developing an appreciation for other cultures and communities. They learn about their role in caring for the environment and making choices that better protect our natural resources.
To support the development of reading, writing and spelling skills, the children also participate in the Letterland program. The child-friendly, phonics-based lessons teach children through stories, helping them to learn the sounds and shapes of the letters, a precursor to reading and writing.
Meet the team

Meet the team
The educators at Little Angels Kindergarten are dedicated to providing a high quality of care for every child at the centre. They care for them as if they were their own, nurturing them in a warm and friendly environment.
Other than a caring disposition, the educators are all qualified in Early Childhood Education, including Bachelor, Diploma and Certificate 3 trained educators. To support this, each member of the team also participates in regular professional development to enhance their skills and knowledge. The educators also have asthma and anaphylaxis training, food handling training, child protection training.
Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement
The educators work in collaboration with families to ensure that each child has the best possible start to life and education. They recognise that this type of collaborative approach is essential to helping the children to successfully transition to school.
Open communication is central to the relationships the parents have with the educators. The centre has a policy of respecting the culture and experiences of the parents and children and encouraging them to share their traditions and language with the educators. The educators send monthly and daily updates and photos so that parents can feel involved in their child’s progress.
Parents are also encouraged to take advantage of opportunities to spend time with their children in the centre. They are welcome to attend events or community incursions as they are able. Parents are also invited to provide input into the philosophy, procedures and policies of the centre.
About the curriculum

About the curriculum
Aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework, Little Angels Kindergarten offers a holistic and engaging curriculum. Incorporating the whole child, the curriculum helps to lay the foundations that children will need to succeed at school and beyond.
The centre is committed to continuous improvement, so regularly observe, document and evaluate all aspects of the service, including the curriculum. This includes tailoring the curriculum to each individual child to ensure their learning is appropriate for their age, needs and developmental stage.
The comprehensive preschool curriculum helps to prepare the children for the transition to school and gives them a headstart on their education. In addition to literacy and numeracy skills, they also develop important social and emotional skills that will support their transition.

While in the babies room she was so blessed to have educator Karen and in the toddlers room she had educators Nalini and Forough. These 3 women are the reason I could confidently leave her at a childcare and return to work. Having a child with Autism is a struggle and you need a village to support you that you can trust. They all looked out for my daughter like she was their own and that is more than any mum can ask for. I don't think the centre would be so great without them and these women go above and beyond of just doing their job. I really hope my daughter gets to connect with them again in future as she has built so much happiness and trust in them. Its refreshing to know there are great educators out there who dont treat children like numbers because that is very rare to find today. Thank you for the continuous advice, support and help, God bless. Read more
