Little Learner’s has been a second home for our little one. We’ve started in the baby room at 9 months old and have transitioned to the toddler group a while ago. (Update: My son is now 4 yrs old and about to transition to kindy at primary school. We're still so very pleased with the centre, the educators have formed lasting trusting relationships with our son and he loves his daycare. His time in the nature-kindy has been filled with creative, caring and educational activities as well as lots of time for free play. The team at LL is doing an outstanding job in holding space and guiding our son and his friends to become grounded, safe and emotionally balanced people. We'll keep our son attending daycare two days a week so his big transition to school goes smoothly. He's been a beautiful role-model to the babies and toddlers, caring and sharing his knowledge. Under the thoughtful guidance of LL educators. So much gratitude for the whole team. Thank you!) LL Team of incredible educators have made the journey from home to daycare including all the routines and changes so smooth for us. Everyone has in their own way supported us not just with caring for our little love but also helping with listening and validating, sharing knowledge and encouraging. I especially love the outdoor play area, the healthy food cooked by the in house chef, the activities, the routines. The team at Little Learner’s is helping to shape our next generation. They are incredibly warm and welcoming with just so much patience and love. I’m so happy for our son to spend a majority of his time here and observe him becoming a very independent and social beautiful boy. I can’t thank the educators from LL enough for their valuable work. You have been nothing but supportive to us as a family and our son thrives in your care. Thank you!

Little Learners is the daycare that you've been looking for. No screens or astro-turf in sight, real toys that don't beep and flash at you, so much nature play, and staff who really care. Both of our kids went there from Toddlers Room up (number 2 finishing this year), and we wouldn't have sent them anywhere else. We even visited 6 or 7 other daycare centres before sending our second there (just in case we missed something the first time around), and nothing came close. I'm also confident that the relationships both of our kids have formed with some of the educators are as valuable, if not more so, than many made with our extended family. These are long-term staff who talk to the kids like real people, care deeply about each of them, work constructively with parents, and go out of their way to learn new skills and ideas to bring to the program. The centre itself is fantastic with all of its logs, rocks, and dirt, as well as its quiet and calm indoor spaces, but the staff really make it the special place it is. So if you are after the perfect balance of free, nature-based play, fun and practical skill development, and an encouraging environment where your child can really come into themselves (not just be looked after), then Little Learners is for you. It is going to be a very sad day when we walk out of there for the last time. Our sincere thanks to everyone ❤️

Hands down one of the best local daycares in Fremantle, I love the nature play all day! That’s sounds amazing to any parents, my daughter comes home so happy and calm, she’s less anxious and has more information about the outside world than me! I recommend it to anyone looking for home like home daycare.

About Little Learners Early Development & Education Centre

At Little Learners, we’ve been helping children grow, learn and thrive since 2014. We welcome babies through to preschoolers (0–6 years) in a safe, caring environment where learning happens naturally—through play, connection and discovery.

Our philosophy is simple: we believe childhood should be joyful, unhurried and deeply connected to nature. When children spend time outdoors, getting their hands dirty and with their imaginations firing, they build confidence, creativity and a lifelong love for the world around them.

Our Nature-Based Approach

Every day at Little Learners is an adventure. Children explore thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces that encourage curiosity, resilience and wonder. They balance on logs, climb over rocks, splash in water play areas, explore our creek bed, grow vegetables, compost food scraps and help care for our much‑loved heritage chickens.

We have over 30 beautiful mature Australian native trees in our two large outdoor Nature Playgrounds covering over 560m² for your children to explore. Our Nature Playground surfaces are environmentally friendly, natural, and sourced locally from top-quality sustainable Western Australian materials. The soft fall mulch is splinter free and accredited to Australian Standard certification.

Why Nature Matters

Research shows that time in nature supports:

Emotional well-being – calming environments reduce stress and promote happiness.
Physical development – climbing, balancing, and exploring build strength and coordination.
Cognitive growth – hands-on experiences spark problem solving and critical thinking.
Environmental responsibility – children learn to care for the planet through sustainable practices.

What Sets Us Apart

Two large nature playgrounds spanning over 560m²
Natural, eco‑friendly surfaces (no fake grass)
30+ mature Australian native trees
Creek bed adventures and an outdoor fire pit
The option to sleep outdoors (introduced in 2017 for children aged 2 and above – not babies)
Animal husbandry: feeding our heritage chickens and collecting fresh eggs
