Safety

Safety

Edge Early Learning Oaklands Park is unwavering in our commitment to ensuring that our centre provides a secure and nurturing environment where your child’s wellbeing is always our top priority.

  • Our dedicated team prioritises safeguarding children through daily practices, educational programs, and adherence to national child safety principles.
  • Our 3–5 years rooms benefit from a 1:9 ratio of educators to children (versus the regulated 1:11 ratio), meaning your child will receive an enhanced level of individualised care and supervision.
  • Our supervisory and senior staff complete regular Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting training.
  • We proudly work with Life Ed, Bravehearts and other similar child safety advocate organisations to strengthen the personal safety education within our programming.
  • Our S.A.F.E. framework (Spot, Act, Fix, Explain) requires staff to speak up if they see or suspect something isn’t right. With S.A.F.E. in place, we have created a culture of accountability where reporting is expected and encouraged.
  • Our Active Supervision policy ensures all team members understand the importance of Plan, Position, Look & Listen.

Our son has been attending Edge early learning at Oaklands park for 2 years now and we could not be happier with our choice in sending him here. He has absolutely thrived in this environment and has learnt so much and developed beautiful relationships with his peers as well as with his educators. The educators are all so knowledgeable, caring and hard working. It fills us with confidence knowing he is happy there and we are leaving him in a safe and nurturing environment.

We have used 4 of the rooms at this centre so far and we couldn't have asked for a better experience in all! Our circumstances have recently changed, and time wise it would make sense for us to move to a different centre but we are going to do everything in our power to stay here. The staff are an extension of our family. I have never known a more caring and dedicated team. I feel comfortable and confident leaving my child here, knowing that she will be nurtured and well looked after. We are always greeted with a smile. The educators take the extra effort to get to really know your child and it is truly heart warming seeing them blossom under their care. Management are friendly, welcoming, kind, understanding and extremely helpful! Kathy the chef also needs a special mention. She works so hard to ensure that our kids eat healthy and well and she does such a great job of it! The centre is filled with the wonderful aromas of her cooking every morning. Yum!

Response from the owner 10 Mar 2025

Thank you for your wonderful five-star review, Jess! We're happy to hear that your experience at Edge Early Learning Oaklands Park has been such a positive one, and we appreciate your kind words about our team and Kathy.
