Welcome to Montessori Junior Gymea

Welcome to Montessori Junior Gymea!

Catering to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, Montessori Junior Gymea offers families a home-away-from-home experience where children feel welcome and nurtured. The skilled and qualified educators follow a child-led and open-ended program, learning alongside the children in their daily investigations and discoveries. This play-based approach nurtures the whole child and sets them up for success at school and beyond.

The modern outdoor play space is colourful and spacious, with ample opportunities for the children to develop their gross motor and physical skills while they explore. The area is well-shaded for sun-safe play and includes slides, climbing equipment and a cubby house. The children are free to run, jump, climb, crawl and play.

Indoors, the learning areas are equally colourful thanks to the children’s artwork that hangs from the walls. The rooms are light and bright to inspire a calm sense of learning. They are also equipped with a wide range of resources that support the different learning needs and styles of the children.

Conveniently located on the corner of two residential streets, the centre is easy to access with parking available on site. Why not book a tour of this warm and welcoming centre today?

Programs

The program at Montessori Junior is open-ended and child-led. The children learn through play and are presented with daily opportunities for investigation and discovery.

The program is tailored to the different ages and stages of the children, taking into account their differing developmental needs. The program is also based on the premise that the educators and children learn alongside each other.

With music and language activities, the program is very hands-on. It also incorporates holistic development, catering to the children’s emotional, social, physical and cognitive development. The program helps the children to develop important skills they will need as they embark on their formal schooling, including pre-reading, writing and numeracy skills.
