Welcome to Guardian Childcare & Education Sunbury

A warm welcome to Guardian Childcare & Education Sunbury, formerly Gumboots Sunbury. A home away from home for your children, our childhood education programs are focused on play-based learning Our modern, spacious day care and childcare centre provides a environment for children aged six weeks to six years of age, supporting them to discover the world in a safe and secure way.

Each of our six learning studios has access to our architect-designed outdoor play spaces. Our natural outdoor resources include sensory and water play, mud and sand pits,water pump with riverbed,edible gardens, and a chicken run to spark wonder, discovery, and curiosity in every child.

Our high quality, well-resourced environments also include:

  • Large art room to encourage creativity and exploration.
  • On-site Chef providing nutritious meals daily with fresh season ingredients in our fully equipped commercial kitchen.
  • Passionate team of educators who focus on building strong relationships with children and families.
  • Leading learning programs such as Joy of Reading, Cooking, Outdoor Program, Out & About Community Excursions, Sustainability and more.
  • Dedicated two-year Kindergarten program to support a smooth transition to school.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre’s long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,101 a year for children aged three-years-old and above in eligible long day cares in 2025.
