Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

We believe in nutrition for life, supporting children to develop healthy eating habits from an early age. Qualified Chefs and Cooks in our centres create fresh and nutritious meals each day, using seasonal, high-quality ingredients that align with Australian Dietary Guidelines.

Meals are designed to be delicious, introduce children to diverse flavours, and make eating healthy food a positive experience.

Managing allergies and intolerances is part of how we keep mealtimes safe and enjoyable. Every child’s needs are carefully tracked, meals are supervised by permanent educators, and allergens are strictly controlled.

Beyond providing wholesome food, we use mealtimes as learning opportunities. Children practice independence by serving themselves and engaging in conversations about food, building confidence and understanding of healthy choices.

I made a comment to one of the mum's here asking how many children's books she had in her library. And then promptly and immediately was notified by security that there have been are complaints buy one of the parents here, that I was speaking to them. This Mum most definitely doesn't have many children's books in her children's book library and most definitely has not been and it has in fact been neglecting to read her child books. This is not necessarily demonstrative poorly of her parenting skills play simply as towards the fact matter nature, she seemed offended and are fronted by this question because it presented poorly towards her action role of being a mother or that it might reflect poorly as a mother towards others if she did not have children books or did not read her child children's books. One must understand the classism of affluence area neighbourhoods of which this childcare is situated within. She then attempted to throw her own weight with the security under the implying sentiments that she is a vulnerable mother with child and I am a grown man of disadvantage circumstance that should then not be of position or command to be able to speak with a mother who has child, a classist action in its totality she then requested that security adopt her own bias lense to then attempt to move me or command me about where I had done nothing wrong. Moreover I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with not realising that you should be reading your children books. However in moreover that parents might treats you in this way for putting forward a suggestion to them. Read your children more books, full stop. But that they would then attempts to utilise other forms of governance systems claiming sovereignty over these via sentiments that these systems of power should protect their classism as their right add repurpose reutilise and equip themselves bearing these power systems as their shield to cover for their own bias and failings and therefore and thereafter push you about. A polite no thank you would suffice. Moreover you don't necessarily want to send your children to a place that has parents that might act in this way towards you or more exactly acting this way towards your children pushing systems of power about upon your children if your children come into countenance with their child or their status role identity. This might be a good childcare but inline with the pygmalion effect, some synthesis of my sentiment might be as particular in regards to this institution. If your child excels or is gifted then firstly they need to be with the right teachers, good people and mostly even more so good teachers are hard to find because in for the reason they get underpaid. Secondly that if your child is severely gifted they're not going to connect with even the brightest individuals anyway so they might as well have normal friends because that's going to help them actualise feeling normal instead of actualising feeling pressured because all the other intellectual children will try and keep up with them but always fail but failed attempt still be able to pressure them even if it wasn't touching their intellectual nature it might be through misappropriations of power systems and the like. This isn't necessarily healthy for the most gifted children and therefore you don't necessarily want to place them in a socially advantaging environment if not for the teachers. Because as towards the most gifted with the gifted and the intellectual many of these individuals operate under object concept value sense of worth intellectualism and move beyond testing regimes or outside of them. Such that then they're only way to understand how smart they are is through reality testing with individual or peers. There is a competitive nature to human beings, individuals which are secondary but operate in a collective manner and fashion more so women benefit from this within an education environment because they do not sort difference with others through the same means as the male gender rough and tumble.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Guardian South Yarra. Our daughter Lulu has been attending for the past 15 months and the growth in her confidence, social skills, and learning has been amazing to watch. The teachers are incredibly caring, supportive, and genuinely invested in each child’s development. Lulu absolutely loves going and has built such wonderful relationships with the staff and other children. We’re so grateful for the positive and nurturing environment they’ve created. Highly recommend Guardian South Yarra to any family looking for exceptional childcare and early learning.

We are very happy with the centre. My son has been attending since he was 7 months old. In nursery, Kezia and Gaby are just amazing, caring and lovely. Also, the rest of the educators and the staff in the other rooms after nursery are wonderful. Angela is top in customer service, so a special mention to her as well.

Response from the owner 28 Jan 2026
