About the Curriculum
About the Curriculum
Woodlands provides a learning environment that supports children to thrive as they build a sense of being and becoming. Educators understand the importance of the development, and celebration of individual personalities to help create a sense of belonging where children have the confidence and resilience to play, learn and explore.
Nursery
6 weeks - 12 months
The Nursery classrooms are beautifully designed, safe, and inviting places where infants can thrive while being supported by experienced educators to reach developmental milestones, learn about their world and develop a sense of belonging.
From exploring different textures and sensory activities, to making music and singing, enjoying physical development through tummy time, to exploring the world of food and the outdoors, children are given every opportunity to thrive and enjoy their days.
1 year - 2 years
Woodlands 1 to 2-Year-Old Classrooms are thoughtfully designed spaces that motivate toddlers as they take on new challenges and develop their self-awareness, social skills, and communication. The classrooms provide opportunities for toddlers to use new skills and be active in safe surroundings.
Toddlers at this age have access to open ended resources to satisfy their growing curiosity. Fun activities including music and movement, early literacy and numeracy, crafts and gardening, and children have the explore and discover.
2 years - 3 years
Toddler classrooms are designed to foster a toddler’s natural desire to do things for themself, to explore, be active, imagine and create. The curriculum develops their self-awareness, self-regulation, communication, social skills and helps them make sense of the world around them.
Each day includes adventure. A day may involve playing instruments with ‘everyday’ tools, learning independence through making their own bed or cleaning up after themselves, to practising mud-cooking with their friends in the sandpit.
3 years - 5 years
Kindergarten classrooms are thoughtfully designed to be stimulating and challenging for children as they prepare for primary school. The experienced educators design and implement engaging, child-centred environments and experiences that embrace the individuality of each child by extending skills without limits.
The Kindergarten Program helps children transition to school with support for learning language and numeracy, crafts and painting, practical self-sufficiency and social skills.

We believe every child is born with creativity, and childhood educators’ purpose is to nurture this. When your child’s imagination is encouraged to develop, they will become better problem solvers and communicators with improved social and emotional skills.

My daughter had been attending this childcare since she was 10 months old and very settled. However, around 22 months of age, her behavior suddenly changed. She began refusing to go, and for the past four weeks, she was usually crying at drop off and pick up. As a parent, it’s heartbreaking to see your child in distress and even more concerning when there seems to be little to no emotional support offered to them. I never saw educators cuddling or soothing her every time I saw her crying. Instead, I was repeatedly told that she wanted “one-on-one attention.” I understand that each educator has a ratio to manage, but that doesn’t mean a crying child should be left unattended and unsupported. Over 4 weeks, there was no improvement in her behavior, nor did I see any real effort from staff to help her feel safe or settled again. All I heard is that she wants One on one whixh we cant do and it means she will be left crying Even more worrying, on multiple occasions I witnessed other children crying and not being approached or comforted either. I never seen any CCTV footage to understand what might have contributed to my daughter’s sudden shift in behavior. This has been a deeply disappointing experience. If you are considering this childcare, I strongly recommend you observe closely and check how children are being treated, especially when they are upset. Every child deserves to feel safe, secure, and cared for. Read more

As new parents we wanted to do our research so we could obtain the best possible care and learning for our little one after many months of looking at different child care centers we found that Woodland Tarniet stood out above the rest with their multi cultural staff, friendly atmosphere and professionalism that we saw from the moment we walked in. The staff in the Khushee room made us feel very comfortable as we were worried about our little one being able to settle into the new environment but within minutes we could feel our little one was happy with the heart felt care thanks to Ying, Bimla, Jayne, Ayushi and all the educators in Khushee room. Until now with their continued updates, developments and good routine we are extremely happy and this is why we felt that this was definitely the child Centre for us once again girls thank you for a great job and making our family complete.
