Walking into Little Locals Salisbury for the very first time felt like handing over a piece of my heart. My daughter was just 9 months old, and like any parent, the idea of leaving her with strangers was overwhelming. But from that very first interaction, the team wrapped us both in a kind of quiet reassurance that can’t be faked. They didn’t just welcome us, they understood us. They made the transition as comfortable as you possibly can with stay and play days, walking me through every part of the day. Nothing but understanding and reassurance. What we couldn’t have imagined back then as Little Locals Salisbury’s very first enrolment is how quickly those “strangers” would become some of the most trusted, loving, and genuinely caring people in my daughter’s world. The bond they’ve built with her is something truly special. You can see it in the way she lights up at drop-off, the way she reaches for her educators, and the pure comfort she feels in their presence. One of the standout touches that truly sets them apart is the food. The meals provided are not only incredibly nutritious but genuinely tasty — thoughtfully prepared and well-balanced, introducing little ones to a variety of flavours and healthy options from such a young age. It’s so reassuring knowing my daughter is being nourished with food that supports her growth while also being something she actually enjoys eating. Little Locals isn’t just a childcare centre, it’s a thoughtfully designed environment where little personalities are nurtured and celebrated. The enrichment activities are incredible and align with our family values, from sensory play and creative arts to outdoor exploration and social development. Every day feels purposeful, filled with opportunities for learning, growth, and joy. It’s clear that so much care goes into creating experiences that support each child’s development in a meaningful way. Their genuine celebration of multiculturalism is something I deeply value. The way they weave different cultures, traditions, and perspectives into everyday learning is both thoughtful and meaningful. The communication with families is another standout. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the exceptional contributions of the staff at Little Locals. Catherine Atobelo has provided outstanding care for our son since he was just four months old. Her commitment to excellence has consistently exceeded our expectations. She demonstrates professionalism and attentiveness not only towards our son but also with the children in Nursery 1 during her supervision. If we had the financial means, we would undoubtedly hire her as a nanny without hesitation. Additionally, I would like to commend Rez Krook and Sarah So for their prompt resolution of our concerns regarding a few educators. They addressed these matters in a professional manner and kept us well-informed about the safety measures in place to keep not only son but the children in the facility safe Thanks team!

Little Locals Salisbury have gone above and beyond to support my 2 year old starting care this week. From our tour of the centre in September to now starting they've always kept in touch to offer the support and reassurance that I needed and made me feel comfort and confident when choosing Little Locals as our daughters school. All the lovely educators are such welcoming people and have made the transition easier with as many stay and plays as we needed to help my little one settle before her first day. They provided peace of mind knowing that she is in the best hands with educators clearly dedicated to care for every child at the centre. Thank you Rez and your beautiful team of educators. Your support has truly made the beginning of my daughter's early education journey so comforting and supportive for our whole family, we are absolutely blessed.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Little Licals Salisbury. From day one, it has felt like a warm, welcoming community rather than just a daycare. Our son absolutely loves going there each day, which speaks volumes about the care, trust, and joy the educators create. The staff are genuinely kind, attentive, and passionate, always going above and beyond to support each child’s development and wellbeing. The other families are equally wonderful, making it a supportive and friendly environment for both children and parents. We are incredibly grateful to be part of the Little Locals Salisbury family and highly recommend it to anyone seeking outstanding care.

I wish I can give them no star! I am absolutely dissapointed and shattered to see the behaviour of the new management. The core responsibility of them is to see the dietary requirements of each child. They bought a COSCO cake with egg in it and served to many kids on the Christmas Eve party. The educators assured me that it was vegetarian and had no egg. My child has egg intolerance and got really sick on the same day after consuming cake. Ms Rez ( the new director) didn't address the problem and simply said that was for adults. However, 4 kids joined my child on the same table after 3:30 pm and had the same cake. PLEASE DONT LIE ABOUT BEING FREE FROM EGG AND NUTS. I am a strict vegetarian and there were absolutely no proper arrangements for that day. The food had flies and there was no segregation of veg and non veg. Kindly tell us in advance if you CANT SERVE GOOD QUALITY FOOD according to each cultural preferences.. Everyone has their cultural identity and preferences and they are ought to be respected. The behaviour of one of the educator who mishandled my child was turned off by Ms Rez. However, the previous director was extremely good and very particular about the standards. Few educators are really nice and helpful. But the management has double standards. I am well versed of the good reputation of little locals which made be drive for 20 minutes just to give my child the best. But, it upsets me how they mistreated us and asked us to move on. Dissapointed to the core.

Absolutely the best daycare in Brisbane! The educators and leadership team consistently go above and beyond to ensure a nurturing and enriching environment for our children. Their dedication to creating engaging, educational experiences really sets them apart. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a supportive and professional team!

Edit; rather than addressing my review and concerns they’ve asked for others to give reviews so you don’t see mine. Ask for their staff and management turnover since opening before considering enrolling your child. Two weeks after receiving positive reviews of my son’s progress he was expelled without warning. I was asked for a meeting to work out a way to best support my son and work together to move forward, you should have advised to not bring my child in to avoid the humiliation of having to take him out of play time with his friends 10 minutes later. I was completely blindsided and told his enrolment was being cancelled with no warning. There has been a complete lack of communication between his educators and us and this has been handled so poorly. He’s had more than 5 main educators in the 8 months the centre has been open. We have stressed from the beginning that he needs consistency and struggles with change and any time we question why the turnover is so high and express concerns over the inconsistency we keep getting told “it’s the nature of the industry”. This is a cop out, it’s not what he’s experienced previously and after speaking with other educators from other centres it isn’t standard for there to be such a high turnover of staff, so something isn’t right. He’s been to one centre prior to this one (also brand new) and he had the same lead educators, even when transitioning to an older classroom there was an educator who transitioned with them to keep some consistency. Little locals has created an unsafe and untrustworthy environment for children who need assistance with adapting to change and their solution to children who are challenging is to get rid of them and in the same breath tell you that they care, they don’t. Most of the educators he forms a bond with leave with not so much as a goodbye or explaination to the kids that they are leaving, just there one day and gone the next. Considering the conflict in stories we’ve been told (his two main teachers having completely different stories of how his day and behavior had been) and the lack of actual communication in how best to help him we can only assume his behavioural issues are being triggered by the inconsistencies and lack of trust he’s developed. The reason I felt that I was blindsided by this is because I haven’t received anything in writing or asked to sign a single incident report, nothing documented that I have received a copy of, in the meeting I wasn’t provided with anything to back the decision. I have had one meeting previously this year with Rez and his educator at the time to discuss my child’s behaviour and we came up with a plan to help support him and we had very little issues after that up until his teachers were again changed, this time both of them essentially at the same time. I was told that they have “tried everything but nothing is working so he has to go” yet I’ve not been involved in what’s been “tried” and this is by teachers who don’t know him and who he doesn’t yet trust. Last week after picking him up there was a cut on his eyeline, when asked what happened he said another child threw a toy at him. We have a photo/video of his eye taken in the carpark. No phone call, no incident report, not even a mention when picking him up, he said he cried and was offered ice and that was it. It has felt a bit like he wasn’t liked by his new teacher, Laura, and feels like she had been the one to push for him to be expelled because her report of his day differed significantly to others. She phoned me last week as a “courtesy” to say the next call will be to collect him so I had him collected by his older sister and Gina advised his older sister that he’d been having a great day and she was really proud of him. Again, conflicting stories. When leaving the centre today another educator was shocked that he’d had his enrolment cancelled. I wouldn’t recommend sending your children to this centre until they are properly established with proven consistency with educators and management.

My deepest appreciation goes to the Little Locals Salisbury team and their outstanding educators. The positive growth in my daughter has been remarkable she is more confident, engaged, and joyful than ever before. This transformation is a testament to the dedication, warmth, and encouragement provided by the educators. The educators at Little Locals Salisbury deserve the highest praise. Their professionalism, consistency, and genuine care create an environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired.
