About Woodlands Childcare and Education Boronia

From bowling alley to best-kept secret: Boronia’s story is one of reinvention and imagination.

While some Woodlands campuses were purpose-built from the start, Boronia is a beautifully transformed space, and in many ways, one of our most loved.

Expansive outdoor environment. Nestled in a local hub, Boronia offers a surprisingly vast outdoor learning space, rare for a centre in a shopping area and a delight for children.

The transformation of this space was done with input from educators and families, so it doesn’t just look different, it feels different.

Boronia is a beautiful example of what’s possible when you design with heart and purpose.” See for yourself, book a tour today.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

At Woodlands, we believe that where children learn matters. That’s why our environments are more than just safe and clean, they’re carefully considered, intentionally built, and thoughtfully adapted to support children, families, and educators every step of the way.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

Woodlands provides a learning environment that supports children to thrive as they build a sense of being and becoming. Educators understand the importance of the development, and celebration of individual personalities to help create a sense of belonging where children have the confidence and resilience to play, learn and explore.

Nursery
6 weeks - 12 months

The Nursery classrooms are beautifully designed, safe, and inviting places where infants can thrive while being supported by experienced educators to reach developmental milestones, learn about their world and develop a sense of belonging.
From exploring different textures and sensory activities, to making music and singing, enjoying physical development through tummy time, to exploring the world of food and the outdoors, children are given every opportunity to thrive and enjoy their days.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

At Woodlands, our Campus Chefs freshly prepare nutritious meals each day for all children, including tailored options for those with dietary requirements or allergies.

Meal times vary depending on each classroom’s age group and daily routine. Below is a guide to the meals we serve every day, at no additional cost.

Our Chefs thoughtfully design menus around the needs and preferences of children, using the Healthy Eating Advisory Service as a guide to ensure all meals meet the Healthy Eating Guidelines of Australia.

Meet the team

Meet the team

Woodlands ELC puts the child first in everything it does. This starts by hiring only passionate and skilled teachers and educators. Known as “Woodlanders”, the talented team share the same determination and passion for education. The team helps every child succeed and reach their full potential by providing inspiring and exciting educational experiences, and opportunities to learn important life skills.
The team proudly supports children to become empowered, confident, creative and eager learners.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

The team actively partners with parents in every child’s education and development journey. They work to build a community where every family at Woodlands has the support they need to succeed and thrive.
The centre uses the Xplor Home App, allowing parents to easily stay in touch with the centre. The educators provide regular updates on the app and also notify parents about centre events.
Woodland’s also provides regular partnership meetings where parents can speak with the teachers and educators. These meetings provide an open forum to discuss education-related topics in an environment where opinions are respected and valued. The outcomes of these meetings also help to inform the program.

As a first-time parent, this has been a great childcare experience. The educators are professional, caring, and attentive, and the management team is organised, approachable, and supportive. Communication has been clear, and the environment is safe and welcoming. Thank you to the educators for making this a nice experience. I’m very happy with the care provided and would recommend this centre to other parents.

Response from the owner 14 Jan 2026

Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. As a first-time parent, choosing care is such a big step, and we’re honoured to be part of your family’s journey. Our educators and leadership team will be so encouraged to hear your feedback. Creating a safe, welcoming environment and maintaining clear, supportive communication is something we care deeply about. Thank you for your recommendation and trust. We look forward to continuing to support your child’s learning, growth, and wellbeing. Woodlands HQ

This has to be the worst childcare centre I have come across. All the educators are beautiful and show so much love and care to the children and families. And the onsite chef cooks amazing nutritious and yummy looking meals. The current management is awful, the lack of communication is so bad, and not sure who is actually manager of the service. There is no quality care and it really is about the $$$

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Woodlands. Leaving my child in someone else's care was a huge decision, but from the moment we toured this facility, we knew we were in the right place. The staff are truly the heart of this center. The staff have gone above and beyond to make our child feel safe, loved, and seen. Since starting here, we have seen a massive leap in our child’s development. We love the daily updates we receive through the app. The center is always spotless, bright, and filled with engaging, age-appropriate activities. We also really appreciate the focus on the things that interest my child. If you are looking for a childcare center that prioritizes safety, education, and genuine emotional connection then look at Woodlands. We feel so lucky to be part of this community.
