Revesby Early Learning Centre

The school readiness program at Revesby Early Learning Centre is extensive and focused on preparing children for the transition to school. This is more than teaching reading and writing skills. Instead it’s about giving children the social and emotional skills they need to succeed at school and beyond.

Based on the concepts of belonging, being and becoming as outlined in the Early Years Learning Framework, the curriculum at Revesby Early Learning Centre is play-based and fun.

Through the curriculum, the educators help the children to develop a strong sense of their identity and wellbeing. They start to understand the connections with their world and get involved in their learning as they build stronger communication skills.

The curriculum is supported by the integration of technology to help build the children’s digital literacy skills in a safe environment.

As the children learn, the educators make observations so they can continue to tailor the curriculum to suit each child. The educators keep records of each child’s learning journey, which parents can view at any time.

The educators at Revesby Early Learning Centre are qualified and experienced. They understand the importance of their role in educating and caring for children and seek to develop meaningful relationships with the children.

To give children the foundation they need for a lifelong love of learning, the educators also seek to build positive partnerships with families and the wider community.
