The center's operation is based purely on logic and practicality which is what I love about Gum Nut! The staff are great and the focus on environment and child's safety is always appreciated.

We absolutely love Gumnut. Most importantly, our child loves it too. The educators are wonderful, so caring, attentive, and supportive. It’s clear they genuinely care about each child’s wellbeing and development. When we have difficult drop offs they are always there to help. One of the things we value most is the centre’s focus on sustainability. It’s reassuring to know our child is learning about caring for the environment. Highly recommend Gumnut.

We love Gumnuts and wish we discovered it earlier! It has a beautiful community feel and all the staff are so lovely, helpful and genuinely care. Our kids love it!

First of all - Director of this centre is extremely rude and encourages a toxic environment for not only the children but for the educators. This centre is NOT child lead learning, looks chaotic every time you walk into a room due to barely any staff/ over ratio and they use their phones to take ‘pictures’ of children for ‘documentation’. Very poor centre.

We recently finished our time at Gum Nut. Over the past six years both my children attended this daycare, right through to their 4 year kinder program. The teachers have become very loved and trusted adults who helped shape my kids into confident, compassionate, and curious individuals who are / were extremely school ready. The first time I walked into Gum Nut, I immediately knew it was the place for us. The slightly chaotic but sprawling garden was filled with smiling kids immersed in all kinds of different child led activities, with equally engaged and happy teachers (many who have been there 15+ years). It felt like someone’s home rather than a daycare. Over the years, it became my kids’ second home and a kind of extended family, who shared our values of inclusivity, creativity, and just letting kids be kids, following their cues and interests to direct the curriculum. They also nurtured a keen understanding and respect for our environment through various on site activities and the kinder “explore and learn” program (aka bush kinder). I cannot praise this daycare and the staff enough! We will miss you!!

Our kids have been very lucky to be able to attend Gumnut these past few years. Some of the stuff we love: - relaxed atmosphere - focus on outdoor play - naturalist philosophy - long standing enthusiastic and supportive staff I’m sure our kids will have many fond memories :) thanks!

Hardest part about moving house was leaving Gum Nut. While they have a wonderful philosophy and facility it was the educators that made Gum Nut such a caring safe environment for my boys to attend. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you Gum Nut for educating and taking such great care of my boys 💙 I wish we could move the whole centre to our new area.
