We’ve noticed that the Centre's approach feels more parent-focused than child-focused, and drop-offs have been quite challenging. The kinder room seems to have some ongoing behavioural issues, and the staff appear to be less experienced in proactively managing these situations. This has made it difficult for our kid, who consistently resists attending. Overall, the experience has been very different from what we’re used to at his regular kindergarten.

WARNING to parents!<br>We also had high hopes for this centre like Elisha's review below.<br>Unfortunately we had similar issues and worse! The educators there are lovely and caring, but there is a toxic and detrimental culture in current management who do not care about your children and their safety. The staff are stressed and struggling for support!<br><br>FACT 1. High staff turnover with THREE centre Managers in the first 18 months of the centre opening, validating the poor management at the centre.<br><br>FACT 2. Do not provide incident reports within the required time period per their policy and procedures, taking weeks at times.<br><br>FACT 3. The current centre manager and state manager have been reported to the Department of Education regarding the mishandling of various incidents at the centre and are currently being investigated!<br><br>FACT 4. Have NO rating as at the date of this review by the government body Starting blocks, and has not yet received a final NQS rating.<br><br>Do not be fooled by the new centre and shiny toys, this does not always mean it is a good or safe place! This is an imature centre that has a lot of work to do to meet any parents minimum standards of care for their children. Our children are now safe at a new centre.

We have designed our centre to provide the Mitcham community with quality childcare and early education to support children on their learning journey. Our vision for Children First Mitcham is that children always come first. All our decision making is centred around ensuring the needs, development, and wellbeing of the child is always our first priority.
Located on Whitehorse Road and off the Maroondah Highway, our long day care centre provides a convenient stop for families commuting from the Mitcham and Ringwood areas to work. Antonio Park Primary School is only a 3-minute drive away and Children First Mitcham is a 3-minute drive from Ringwood Square Shopping Centre and 5-minute drive from Mitcham Shopping Centre. Our centre provides convenience for families with plenty of onsite carparking for drop-off and pick-up.
We have thought of everything your little one will need to thrive at our centres and included it in our daily fee. Our all-inclusive fee is also extremely convenient, as all you need to pack is a spare change of clothes!
