We have had such a wonderful experience at Children First Mernda. From the very beginning, the centre has felt welcoming, caring, and supportive. My daughter absolutely loves attending, and it’s clear how comfortable and happy she feels there each day. The educators are incredibly warm, patient, and attentive, always taking the time to make the children feel safe and valued. They genuinely care about each child’s wellbeing and development, which gives us great peace of mind as parents. A special mention to the Pene (centre director), who is approachable, kind, and always happy to listen or offer support. Their leadership truly reflects in the positive, nurturing environment throughout the centre. We are so grateful for the love, care, and encouragement our daughter receives at Children First Mernda, and we highly recommend it to any family looking for a caring and supportive early learning environment.

I am here to express my experience with Children first Mernda and would like to thank the management specially Pene (centre director) and all the staff . The management is very good, organized, and always supportive. The staff are kind, helpful, and caring, and they make my son feel safe and happy every day. I truly appreciate all the hard work and dedication they put into caring for the children. I am very thankful and grateful for everything they do.

My sons been attending for three weeks now and is so happy! The bonds with the educators, exciting daily experinces, healthy menu and play oppotunities make this centre amazing. Highly recommend!

I just wanted to share my experience as a new family at the centre. We’ve only been here for about two weeks, and I honestly haven’t seen any of the issues being spoken about. When I mentioned the Facebook comments to the Centre Director at pick-up, she explained that those situations were connected to the previous director. Since then, the management team has been restructured and there have been staff changes, which have really helped improve the environment and quality of care. My child has already settled in so well, is always happy at drop-off, and the educators take the time to chat with me every afternoon about their day. I’d definitely recommend taking a tour and getting a feel for the centre yourself — it really helped me form my own perspective. 😊

My grandson has recently moved from a different childcare centre in doreen and over the last month in comparison to his old care, I can see a huge positive change in him. He is so happy to go to the centre and daily we see beautiful photos of what his teachers are doing with him. I have never seen him so happy and in such a short time he is already so comfortable with the staff and children. I would highly recommend this centre to anyone who is looking for quality care and friendly compassionate staff.

I recently visited Children First Mernda and was very disappointed with what I witnessed. Several staff members were speaking in a different language while interacting with each other, which made the environment feel unprofessional and disconnected — especially when children were present and looking for attention. What concerned me most was the way some staff spoke to the children. Their tone came across as rude and dismissive, and it didn’t feel warm, patient, or supportive at all. As a parent, I expect educators to communicate with kindness and respect, and unfortunately that was not what I observed here. Based on my experience, I left feeling uncomfortable and would not trust this centre with my child’s care. I can’t recommend Children First Mernda.

My visit to Children First Mernda was extremely disappointing, especially when it came to hygiene. The rooms were visibly unclean — floors looked dirty, toys were scattered and not sanitised, and several areas had an unpleasant smell. It didn’t feel like regular cleaning or proper hygiene practices were being taken seriously at all. For a childcare centre, maintaining a clean and safe environment should be a basic priority, but what I saw was far from acceptable. The overall standard of cleanliness made me very uncomfortable and raised major concerns about the health and safety of the children. I left the tour feeling completely put off and would not consider enrolling my child here. I can’t recommend this centre based on the unhygienic conditions alone.

Our 3-year-old was very emotional when we first arrived at Children First Mernda with the wonderful centre director Pene and the educators are incredibly supportive and made the settling-in process smooth and reassuring . Their professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine passion for early childhood development truly exceeded our expectations. We have been impressed by the learning opportunities provided, especially through their new 3A learning approach. The facility is clean, well-organised, and equipped with engaging activities that support children's growth and curiosity. Our child now comes home excited to share stories about his day, and it makes us proud to see how much he has thrived. The structured routine, educational play, and warm, caring environment have made a remarkable difference. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of care provided and would highly recommend Children First Mernda to any family .

Our little ones have been attending Children First Mernda since the start of 2024 & our experience so far has been nothing but all positive! All the staff, particularly Trish, Charan, Jasmeen, Rupinder & Monique are all so wonderful! They are warm and caring towards our children, supportive and helpful, especially with morning drop offs. The staff in the room are always happy to discuss how the day has been and provide detailed updates about the engaging educational program each day via the app! The centre itself is welcoming, clean, bright & fun! Would highly recommend taking a tour and considering this centre!
