Bambino’s Kindergarten Glenfield boasts qualified early childhood professionals and carers who provide educational learning programs based on children’s interests, strengths, abilities and choice.
The educators are highly motivated and are dedicated to working with and extending on each child’s individual strengths, interests and needs. They are approachable and open, always showing respect to the children, families and colleagues.
There’s more to early learning than simply care - the early years are fundamental to a child’s emotional, cognitive and social development. Research suggests that a quality early childhood education sets a child up for success throughout their school years and even later in life. That is why we are focused on providing our families with quality programs to support children’s learning and development from birth right through to school age.
Our children and our families are at the heart of our service. Our commitment to you and your child is that we take the time to invest in our centres and our people, so that they can best support your child, nurture them, empower them and help them to grow. We know that doing this goes a long way to ensuring that the children in our care can flourish.
Nicole Frost, Centre Manager, Bambino’s Kindergarten Glenfield
At Bambino’s Kindergarten Glenfield all meals and snacks are prepared on site each day by the in-house cook. The children help the cook by picking fresh produce from the veggie garden, teaching them where food comes from and how they can play a role in the growing of it.
The educators understand the important role they play in supporting the nutritional needs of children while in care. Children who attend a full day of long day care will be offered at least 50 per cent of their recommended daily dietary intake while in care.
The team at Bambino’s is committed to assisting families and children to develop healthy food attitudes and habits. Educators sit with the children while they are eating and use the opportunity to talk about the ingredients and how they play a role in a healthy lifestyle.
The children enjoy lunches such as wholemeal spaghetti bolognese, beef stroganoff, and chicken veggie casserole. For snacks, the children love cheese and crackers, fruit and vegetable platters, raisin bread and homemade ANZAC biscuits.

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
