I had the incredible opportunity to complete my 30-day placement at Jamestown Community Children’s Centre, and it was truly a rewarding experience. From the very first day, I was welcomed by a friendly, supportive, and professional team who made me feel comfortable and valued. The centre has a warm and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and grow. Throughout my placement, I gained valuable hands-on experience in early childhood education, learning about different teaching strategies, child development, and the importance of creating engaging learning experiences for young children. The educators here are passionate, dedicated, and always willing to share their knowledge, which made my learning journey even more enriching. A special thanks to my mentor teacher, Dette, for her guidance, patience, and encouragement. Her support and constructive feedback helped me develop my skills and confidence in working with children. I am truly grateful for all the learning opportunities I had during my time at the centre. I highly recommend Jamestown Community Children’s Centre to families looking for a caring and well-managed early learning environment, as well as to students seeking a great place for placement. I would recommend anyone to take their child here. The staff and teachers, look after their children very well. They communicate with parents daily, and keep you up to date with your childs progress. Fantastic community and cant say anything bad about it!
