We had high expectations after being on the waiting list for 18 months, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. A major concern is the lack of CCTV in the rooms. While the centre says this is for security, there are ways to ensure both safety and monitoring. Without it, if something happens, there is no way to properly understand or review the situation—which we experienced with our child. The staff are friendly, but I expected more attentiveness, especially for a new child settling in. Children up to 3 years share the same play area, which poses a safety risk for younger ones. Also, despite the 1:4 ratio, having 20+ children in one space makes it hard for kids to build close relationships with educators and feel settled. There is no online system to update parents on meals, sleep, or nappies, and no regular photo updates, which makes it harder to stay informed. After a few days, our child was clearly unsettled and we decided to withdraw. However, the centre showed no flexibility with the 4-week notice period, despite having a long waiting list.It was disappointing that they were not willing to accommodate this, especially when another family could have taken the spot. Overall, while the staff are kind, several key issues made this centre not the right fit for us.

My wife and I have had our 2 kids there since the place opened. The staff could not be more helpful, or professional. I would highly recommend this place to any in the local community. We have had our kids in both the child care and the kindergarten sections, and have been delighted with both. The kids love the play options and the range of activities. They have made some good friends during their time there too. I know my daughter will be little sad not to visit here anymore when she heads to school next year. Her educators at Edithvale have really helped her prepare for school life. We will keep our son enrolled until school too. I cannot recommend the centre highly enough.
