We’ve had such a wonderful experience here. The educators are warm, caring, and genuinely invested in the children’s wellbeing and development. My son always comes home happy, and it gives me so much peace of mind knowing he’s in a safe, nurturing environment. The communication is fantastic, and I love seeing updates about his day. It’s clear that a lot of thought and effort goes into creating engaging activities that support learning through play. I’m so grateful to have found a place where my son feels comfortable, supported, and excited to go each day. Highly recommend to any parent looking for quality care!

We’ve had such a great experience with First Connections Edmondson Park. Since moving my daughter here earlier this year, I’ve noticed such a positive change in her. She’s grown in confidence and actually gets excited to go each week. The smaller classes are really great and the teachers are so kind and supportive. She’s made some lovely friends and always comes home happy. So glad we made the switch! Highly recommend to any parents looking for a caring and engaging childcare centre.

I am writing this review because I feel genuinely devastated and extremely frustrated by my family’s experience at this centre. Over just nine weeks, my 27-month-old child has had six incidents — six times I received a call or report telling me my child was hurt again. As a parent, it’s impossible to describe the stress, fear, and heartbreak that builds each time you’re told your toddler has been injured yet again. What made everything even worse was the centre’s response. Every time I called to ask what happened, I was given the exact same excuse: “kids are fast" from the educator and Director of the Centre. After the third, fourth, fifth incident, hearing that line felt like a slap in the face. Rather than showing concern, responsibility, or any plan to improve supervision, it felt like they were brushing my child’s safety aside as something trivial. But the final incident was the moment my trust completely broke. When I spoke with the room team leader , instead of empathy or understanding, I was met with an attitude that made me feel as though I was the problem — as if I was “overreacting” for simply wanting to know why my child keeps getting hurt. That interaction left me feeling shocked, disrespected, and honestly, deeply upset. No parent should ever be made to feel guilty or unreasonable for caring about their child’s wellbeing. Six incidents in nine weeks is not normal. It is not “kids being fast.” It is a clear sign that something is seriously wrong with the level of supervision and the attitude toward safety — and the dismissive way my concerns were handled only made the situation even more painful. I am posting this review so other parents are aware of what we experienced. My hope is that the centre takes this feedback seriously and commits to actually improving their supervision, communication, and empathy. Because no parent should have to feel the way I did — anxious, unheard, and completely let down by the very people entrusted with their child’s care.

I’m posting this review anonymously because I’m genuinely concerned that if I raise this issue under my name, it might affect how my child is treated. However, I feel it’s important for other parents and the management to know what’s happening. The hygiene practices at this centre are extremely disappointing. Educators consistently fail to wipe children’s noses or clean visible mucus — including my own child’s. It’s unhygienic and unpleasant, especially in a childcare setting where illness spreads so easily. This concern has been raised multiple times, yet management has not taken any meaningful action to address it. It’s very disheartening to see the same issue continue without improvement. If this continues, I will seriously reconsider keeping my child enrolled here. Proper hygiene and attentive care are basic expectations in childcare, and it’s unacceptable that they are being overlooked. Replying to the response : Thank you for your response. I understand that minor illnesses can occur, but I’ve noticed ongoing issues with children attending even when they have clear signs of illness, like thick runny noses. This concern has been raised several times, yet I haven’t seen any noticeable improvement. Hence, I felt it was important to share this feedback publicly, hoping it encourages stronger action to maintain a healthy environment for all children.

Our child has been really happy here. The educators are lovely and genuinely care about the kids. Communication has always been easy, and we feel confident they’re in good hands.
