As both a parent and an Early Years educator, I cannot speak highly enough of Uniting Preschool Grafton. I still remember crying when we received our acceptance offer after what felt like an endless waitlist. So much importance is placed on choosing the right first learning environment for your child, and from day one, I knew we had found something special. Over the years, even through changes in leadership and directors, the culture, values, and warmth of this preschool have remained consistent. That speaks volumes about the team and the foundation of the service. The educators are nothing short of incredible. They genuinely care about the children and families they support, creating an environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. From a professional perspective, I have always been impressed by the way concerns or issues are handled. Communication is prompt, respectful, thoughtful, and centred on achieving the best outcomes for the child. Families are treated as partners, and there is a genuine commitment to building strong relationships. The team consistently demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and a deep understanding of early childhood education. The learning experiences provided, the nurturing relationships formed, and the sense of community they create are truly exceptional. I am so grateful that my child had the opportunity to be part of this wonderful preschool. The educators and leadership team should be incredibly proud of the positive impact they have on the lives of children and families every day. Thank you for all that you do. ❤️

Since 2006, Uniting Preschool Grafton has been providing high‑quality preschool education for children aged 3 to 5 years. Located on Bundjalung, Gumbaynggirr and Yaegl lands within the historic Grafton Uniting Church, our community‑focused preschool offers a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported and confident as they prepare for their transition to primary school.
A home away from home
Our experienced educators build long‑standing relationships with children, families and local community services, with many educators staying with us for years. Small group sizes and a tailored preschool program allow us to focus on each child’s individual strengths, nurturing creativity, confidence and essential school‑ready skills.
We foster cultural understanding and respect through regular visits from local Aboriginal Elders and by embedding Aboriginal education into our learning program. Children are encouraged to explore and connect with the world around them in our engaging outdoor learning spaces, which include a mud kitchen, bicycle track and creek — supporting active play, imagination and problem‑solving.

We believe children thrive when educators and families work together. Our collaborative approach ensures every child receives the right balance of care, encouragement and learning support, including additional support for children who may need it.
