We have had a very positive experience with this centre. The staff are incredibly responsive to the individual needs of children and genuinely try to cater for complex care needs. From our personal experience as parents of a child with additional and complex needs, the communication between home and the centre has been excellent. The manager, Sarah, goes above and beyond to ensure continuity of care, making sure that strategies and routines used at home are mirrored by the educators at the centre. The team is also proactive in working collaboratively with us to continually improve the level of care and support provided. It is reassuring to know our child is cared for by educators who are compassionate, attentive, and committed to meeting their individual needs.

We are so grateful for this childcare centre and all the educators here. My boy had a very difficult experience at his first childcare when he started at 3 years old. Since birth, he had always been with me, so the transition was very emotional and challenging for him. After moving to Buttercups Wellard, everything changed. He feels safe and happy. The educators are kind, patient, caring, and truly understand children’s emotional needs. They helped him build confidence and enjoy learning and socialising with other kids. I am also a first-time mum, and there were many things I did not know or worried about. The staff always made me feel comfortable asking questions and were very supportive, understanding, and approachable. It really gave me peace of mind as a parent. The biggest sign of how much he loves this place is that even though he will go to kindergarten next year, he keeps saying “I like buttercups only. I only want to go to buttercups”. As a parent, that means so much to me. Thank you to all the amazing staff for creating such a warm, loving, and supportive environment for children and families. We truly appreciate everything you do.

From the moment we first arrived at Buttercups Wellard, we felt an instant sense of warmth and welcome. It truly is more than just a daycare — it’s a nurturing, supportive environment where children are genuinely cared for and encouraged to thrive. The staff are absolutely incredible. Every single one of the ladies creates a safe, loving space not only for our son Tāne, but for all of his little Tulip buddies. You can feel the care, patience, and dedication they put into each day, and it gives us so much comfort as parents. One of the little things we love most is the beautiful smell of fresh food being prepared — it’s such a reassuring feeling knowing our children are being nourished with care. Tāne has absolutely flourished since being at Buttercups. His confidence, happiness, and growth speak volumes about the environment he’s in. My daughter loves Buttercups and is thriving there. All the educators and staff are SO friendly, understanding and informative. The daily updates are always on time which is a massive thing for me personally - it makes me feel happy that when I’m not with my daughter I know she’s eating well, sleeping etc. I would highly recommend.

I honestly cannot recommend this daycare enough, it is truly the best decision we’ve made for our child. The development we have seen is nothing short of amazing. At just 18 months, my child is already communicating so well with me, and every single week I notice new skills and improvements that genuinely surprise me. It’s clear how much care, effort, and expertise goes into supporting each child’s growth. Most importantly, my child absolutely loves attending this daycare. There hasn’t been a single day where he has cried at drop-off, and when I come to pick him up, he often wants to stay longer and keep playing with his friends — which says everything about how happy and comfortable he feels there. All of the educators are incredibly kind, nurturing, and attentive. You can really feel that they love what they do. Any concerns are always addressed immediately, which gives us so much peace of mind as parents. I’m so grateful for the positive, safe, and enriching environment they provide.
