We recently visited Little Zak's Academy Shellharbour with the intention of enrolling our 5 month old child. During our scheduled visit, we were encouraged to pay the enrolment fee on the spot, which we did $179 and were provided with only a standard POS receipt as proof of payment. Following this, we received an orientation date via email. We arrived on time, even though it was a public holiday, assuming the scheduled orientation would still proceed. Unfortunately, the centre was closed, and despite our calls and emails on the day, we received no response for over 10 days. During this time, we were unexpectedly sent two invoices for additional payments, despite no services having been rendered. Eventually, we received a call inviting us to another orientation, without any acknowledgment or apology regarding the previous miscommunication and lack of response. Given the poor communication, the way the situation was handled, and recent negative reviews online, we decided not to proceed with the enrolment and requested a refund of the $179. Despite several follow ups, our request was denied, which we feel is entirely unreasonable considering no services were provided. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this centre and urge other parents to exercise caution when considering enrolment. Read more
