My son has been coming here since he was a baby and is now about to start kindy. The educators have always been amazing - caring, dedicated and attentive - and under the new management the centre has truly flourished. It’s warm, welcoming and well organised, with excellent communication and a real sense of trust and care throughout the team. We’re very grateful to be part of such a positive community and would highly recommend this Centre to any family.

My children have been attending Morley Early Learning Centre since July 2024, and the transformation since the new owners, Claire and Andre, took over has been genuinely remarkable. As a sole parent with limited support, this daycare is my village, and the changes over the past nine months have been deeply meaningful to families like mine. Only in hindsight have I been able to realise the significant difference it makes when the people running the centre genuinely care. Claire and Andre have raised the bar with a level of intention and involvement unprecedented in such a way that it changes your whole standard for what good care looks and feels like. They’ve revamped the physical space with a nature-based, Montessori-inspired design that promotes calm, creativity, and purposeful play. It’s not just aesthetically pleasing (which it very much is), everything has been set up with kids’ development in mind so it’s functional in a way that makes sense in both theory and practice. There’s now a noticeable balance of warmth, professionalism, and structure that wasn’t there before. Even bigger than the change in setup is the shift in energy. The staff are clearly more supported and valued, and it shows in how they show up daily: engaged, grounded, and connected to the kids. Even small details like the updated “About Me” boards available for parents to get to know the educators help build a sense of community and reciprocity. Claire and Andre are hands-on in a way that’s incredibly rare. They’re not just behind the scenes doing admin (their office door is quite literally always open), they’re on the floor daily, changing nappies, playing with the kids, helping with routines, and actively building relationships with families. And it’s not performative; it’s just who they are. Communication has improved massively, the app is more regularly updated, and parent engagement feels real and collaborative. From thoughtful events like a week-long Mother’s Day celebration, to the teddy bear picnic (where they personally bought teddies for every child), and the recent Christmas celebrations, the effort and generosity they bring to the centre is obvious. They’ve initiated things such as bringing in local police and fire departments for community visits, and, of their own accord, facilitated a Christmas collection of items for donation to a local women’s refuge, actively fostering community spirit and supporting the interconnectedness of local services. The food has improved, with the new menu more health-conscious, since which I’ve noticed my kids are less fussy and more satisfied at home. As parents themselves, they have a level of consideration and understanding towards the many competing priorities we, as parents, juggle on any given day, and use that discernment to make safe and supportive decisions when it comes to things such as illness, and / or accidents. Above all else, my children are not just looked after, they’re known, valued, and celebrated. They’ve built strong, secure attachments to multiple educators, and you can see the mutual care and connection in how they interact. That kind of environment is created by people who lead with care, consistency, and heart. In a sector where centres can easily become transactional, this team has built something genuinely different, a home away from home that is calm, responsive, intentional, and feels truly safe. As a parent who depends on quality care not just for convenience but for my children’s wellbeing and development, I’m beyond grateful. I’d recommend MELC to anyone looking for a place where their kids will be not only safe, but genuinely seen and supported.

Wow, this made my heart happy. It means the world to us to know that no matter how big or small the improvement, you have noticed. What matters most to us is that you feel it is a safe, happy, nurturing place where your children are genuinely loved, cared for and absolutely adored. It is so uplifting to know that parents like you are happy and feel the positive, loving and caring environment we aim to instil within our centre each day. Thank you for taking time to write such a heartfelt review and thank you for trusting us to be the home away from home you hope for when you drop your children off each day. We adore your family and are so grateful and happy you are part of the MELC family. We look forward to being part of the journey ahead as they continue to grow and learn while in our care.

What an absolute gem of a place! From the moment you walk in, this centre feels like home, and the staff truly feel like family. We feel incredibly grateful to have found somewhere we can completely trust with our boys and feel genuinely at ease leaving them each day. We have a 9-month-old and a 3.5-year-old here, and the communication between educators and parents is exceptional. You always feel informed, supported, and included. What means the most to us is how genuinely happy the educators are to see our children — and how invested they are in their growth. Their excitement when our kids reach new milestones feels just as real as our own. Finding a place like this is rare, and we couldn’t recommend MELC highly enough.
