About Goodstart Early Learning Ingle Farm - Roopena Street

Located on Kaurna Country, Goodstart Ingle Farm is a welcoming early learning centre where children feel a true sense of belonging from their very first day. Our long-standing team creates a warm, inclusive environment where children are encouraged to wonder, question and approach new challenges with confidence. Through play-based learning and strong relationships, children develop the skills they need for life.

Our experienced educators, many of whom have supported families for over 5–10 years, bring deep knowledge and consistency to every child’s learning journey. We are proud to be a multicultural centre, with educators speaking more than 11 languages, helping children and families feel safe, respected and connected.

Children benefit from our government-funded Flying Start preschool program, delivered across two years with a strong focus on school readiness, confidence and independence. Our creative, sustainable learning environments use recycled and natural materials to inspire imaginative, child-led play.

Expansive outdoor spaces, including a newly extended Preschool yard, encourage exploration, movement and group learning. Enrichment programs such as Ready Steady Go Kids and Happy Feet further support children’s physical development and creativity.

Each day, children engage in hands-on learning guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, with experiences tailored to their interests and strengths.

We are a supportive and inclusive centre that values every family and celebrates diversity, creating a strong sense of community.

Families often tell us it is our people, our programs and our welcoming environment that make our centre feel like a second home. Book a tour to see how your child can learn, grow and thrive with us.

Curriculum and programs

Curriculum and programs

The educators at Goodstart Early Learning follow an evidence-based curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework. Informed by world-leading research, practices and techniques, the curriculum encourages the children’s natural curiosity and engages them in their learning journey.

As the children move through the different rooms in the centre, the curriculum evolves with them. The educators set goals for the children and celebrate as they reach their milestones. At every stage, the educators are tailoring the curriculum and goals to each child’s individual needs.

The curriculum involves different types of learning experiences and styles. From child-led learning to sessions guided by educators, the children participate in small and large group sessions as well as individual play. Most importantly, the children learn through play, developing social skills, confidence and independence in addition to more formal academic skills.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.

The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.

The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.

Meet the team

The educators hold relevant qualifications, including the Kindergarten and Preschool Program teachers who are university qualified. They are encouraged to upskill, learning about the latest research and thinking in the sector. They can then bring this knowledge back to the centre to share with their colleagues for the benefit of the children.

I absolutely love sending my son to Goodstart Ingle Farm. He has been attending for over a year and a half now. When we first migrated to this city and country, he was very reluctant to attend childcare given everything was new and off course, separation anxiety it being his first school. But now, he loves going, and I could not speak more highly of the educators. A special shoutout to Jas and Paige in Pre-Kindy, who are incredibly nurturing. Every day begins with a warm, friendly welcome at the front desk, which truly sets the tone. With the team’s ongoing support, I was even able to transit him out of diapers, a milestone I achieved only because of their support. Last year, Ashleigh, Asha, Dharna, and the entire Toddler Room team did an exceptional job helping him settle in when he was still adapting not only to English language but also to a new cultural environment. Their patience and dedication made all the difference. The centre also does a fantastic job keeping families informed on Storypark : from upcoming events and news to learning journeys, weekly wrap-ups, and detailed daily routines. I always feel updated and connected. Most importantly, I feel completely safe, supported, and at peace knowing that my son is cared for by such a beautiful, child-centred service under the wonderful guidance of Kelly and Mel. Goodstart Ingle Farm has been an absolute blessing!
