Long day care and preschool for children aged birth to 5
Uniting Early Learning Westmead is a modern and inclusive early learning centre welcoming children from birth to 5 years since 2021. Located on Darug land near the Westmead Health Precinct, our long day care offers high‑quality early education and preschool programs in a supportive, community‑focused environment. We’re open during school holidays to help meet the needs of busy families who may need extra flexibility.
A diverse and connected community
Our educators value the rich cultural diversity of our local community and are committed to creating a warm, safe and respectful learning space where every child feels they belong. We are co-located with Uniting Westmead Residential Aged Care, giving children the unique opportunity to build intergenerational connections through shared activities such as story time and Tai Chi meditation with residents.
Learning for babies, toddlers and preschoolers
With three dedicated learning spaces for babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children, our educators tailor learning experiences to support communication, physical development, and social and emotional wellbeing. Through structured and play-based experiences — including our Bush Kindy program and shared morning teas — preschoolers are encouraged to explore, learn and build independence.
Inspiring spaces to learn and grow
Children are supported to express creativity and curiosity through engaging indoor and outdoor environments, from our outdoor yarning circle and art studio to gardening alongside aged care residents and caring for our village chickens.
Our programs also support a confident transition to primary school. We invite you to tour our centre and become part of the Westmead community.
