Our son started childcare here in July 2026. On 13 August 2026, he suffered a broken femur while in care at this facility. We were not informed, no incident report was filed, and the childcare denied it happened there.
The next two weeks were horrific. We spent them living with someone else in our house while the investigations took place. I was not allowed to be alone with my kids while the police, child services and the RCH forensic medicine team tried to find out what happened.
After two weeks of heartache and immense stress, child services concluded that it did not happen in our care (the parents'), based on CCTV outside the facility & house, forensic medical evidence and various interviews. There is no CCTV inside the childcare, and none of the seven staff members in contact with my 11-month-old son has come forward.
The forensic medicine team advised us that it was not an accident of his own making because: a) he tested negative for brittle bone disease, and b) roughly 50kg of force would have been needed to break his femur (the strongest bone in a baby's body). There is no way our son would have been silent when it happened.
It is deeply unsettling that no one has come forward. The two weeks of hell were just the start, but this review would get too long. There has been little communication from the childcare for the past 2 months since the incident occurred.
My advice: take your infants and kids somewhere else.

We’re very happy with this childcare. Our son is happy here, and that gives us great peace of mind. We really value the professionalism of the teachers, the balanced menu, the excellent facilities, the outdoor spaces, and the activities that encourage creativity and learning. Highly recommended.
