It has taken me over a year to be able to write this review because every time I thought about my experience with Kool Beanz, I felt upset all over again. My daughter attended this centre for one year — only because I had no other option at the time. She started at 7 months old, and throughout that entire year I cried almost every week from stress and worry. While the educators themselves were lovely and clearly tried their best, the management was a completely different story. The level of care, organisation, and responsibility was extremely poor. Many times there were no educators present at drop-off. During school holidays, the manager’s young daughter (around 7 or 8 years old) was brought in to “help” look after the babies — which is completely unacceptable. My daughter had a confirmed milk allergy, yet one day the centre contacted me claiming she had reacted to coconut milk. Instead of admitting a mistake, they tried to blame an allergy that doesn’t even exist for her. It felt like they thought I wouldn’t notice or question it, which was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. After leaving, I’ve met many mums who had the exact same concerns and experiences. Now that my daughter is at a different centre, I truly realise how bad things were. The difference is night and day — we finally feel safe, supported, and cared for. I cannot recommend Kool Beanz to anyone. In my experience, there was no care, no empathy, and no genuine concern for the children. I honestly hope things change, because no family should have to go through what we did. Ps. It’s also important to mention: please don’t be fooled by all the glowing reviews. The centre gives out prizes and incentives to encourage parents to leave positive reviews, which creates a very misleading impression of the quality of care. Read more
