My daughter started at Papilio in September 2025 and our experience has been amazing. We were so happy with the centre that we also enrolled my son in the preschool room for a couple of months before he moved to kindergarten. One of the most important things for me is that the educators have been at Papilio for years. They are caring, consistent, and genuinely invested in the children. Zoe and Julia are always responsive and supportive, which gives us a lot of peace of mind. The chef, Frank, is incredible. The meals always look fresh and delicious, and some mornings there are muffins for the parents, honestly the best muffins ever! When I drop my daughter off, I often see the morning tea trays filled with generous, healthy options, and everything looks amazing. My daughter is very excited and happy to go to Papilio every morning. She grabs her shoes and runs to the door saying “Papiliooo!” which makes the drop‑off so easy and happy for us. Overall, we’re extremely happy with our experience so far. Papilio has been an amazing childcare and preschool for our family. Caring educators, great communication, delicious food, LOTS of activities :) and a warm environment where both of my children feel comfortable and happy. Highly recommend!

We were worried about having to start her at a new daycare after moving houses but she has settled in so well! We love that it's a smaller centre with a personal feel, and know that our child will receive the extra care and attention when needed. Our daughter has made wonderful connections with her educators and peers, and often speaks about them at home. Thank you to the amazing educators, manager and chef for providing a safe supportive space for our daughter to play, learn and explore!

Very clean and also they follow up on your requests very quickly and give you feedback if you ask them something.

The staff were awesome and Selena was always helpful and polite even through all my queries! Childhood development and safety was keenly focused on and I couldn't ask for better care. The centre is small and home-like, and the stable, friendly team really helps children feel safe and settled. We would happily recommend Papilio Blackburn to other families.

The educators (many of which have been there the entire time we have) are all so warm and provide such wonderful care to the little ones. Mel is a fantastic leader and really has rocketed this centre to the next level. She shows a genuine interest in the children and goes above and beyond to ensure our needs are met. Thanks Papilio Murrumbeena! To families considering this centre, take a tour you will not regret it!

My daughter has been attending this centre for five years, starting as a baby back in 2020 and recently finishing kindergarten. Over this time we’ve seen the centre go through a change of ownership and naturally some ups and downs in service quality. However, since the arrival of the new Centre Manager, Mel, in 2024, the overall experience has noticeably improved. Mel has brought strong leadership, stability, and a genuine focus on the wellbeing of the children. You can really feel the difference in the atmosphere. Educators seem more supported, the environment feels calmer, and the care feels much more consistent and intentional. Staffing has been wonderfully stable in recent years, and the educators have been dedicated, nurturing, and truly invested in the children’s growth. The centre itself is very large, with plenty of space and separate rooms for different age groups. It operates longer hours, which has been a huge help for us as busy working parents. It’s also open all year round, including during school holidays (closed only on public holidays), which gives families great flexibility. We are genuinely grateful for the role the centre has played in our daughter’s early years. She’s grown, learnt, and thrived thanks to the committed team here. I highly recommend to any family looking for a caring, spacious, and reliable early learning environment. My only recommendation for improving is I really do hope the Affinity corporate HQ gives the centre a bit more freedom at the local level as to the centre being able to organising event, such as little outings in the parks beside the centre, having the choices of different activities within the centre premises. But it still a good supporting staff at HQ level.

As a first-time mum, their professionalism and enthusiasm have truly eased my worries. Ms. Chaitali and Ms. Amanda always provided guidance when needed, and all the educators, including Ms. Jashan, Ms. Hayley, Ms. Sarah, Ms. Simar, and Ms. Angel, are patient and dedicated. The center’s clean, multicultural environment with a focus on math, science, and arts, along with healthy meals, is amazing. Watching my son grow into a happy, healthy boy over nearly two years has been so rewarding. I’m grateful for their commitment and look forward to them continuing to thrive!
