Fingerprint String of Lights

It's become a tradition for many families around Australia to head out throughout December and check out the festive lights, so why not bring an element of that festivity into your cards? The kids will love this one too, they get to get their hands a little bit dirty!

You will need:

  • Brown cardstock - this will make your card
  • Waterbased paints of all different colours - the more the merrier!
  • A muffin tray or patty cases to hold your paints
  • A black marker for drating the string

Instructions:

Get everything together

Gather your materials

Create your card

Take your cardstock and fold it in half and draw a squiggly line across the card with small lines coming off the main line

Light it up

Let the kids dip their fingers into the paint and go wild along the string

Send your message this Christmas

Allow to dry and write your message

Hot Tip: Using patty cases keeps colours seperate and will ensure you have nice, bright lights across the page. That's not to say we're not encouraging children to mix and experiment with colour - we'd love to see your creations over on our Facebook Page!
