Welcome, this week how to be culturally inclusive over the festive season, and 8 interesting process art projects to try with the children in your service.

Celebrating diversity at Christmas

Celebrating Christmas extends beyond the fun and fanfare of sparkly decorations, carol singing, and crafting. It's also a great opportunity to embrace the diversity within the community of children and families in your service.

Australia is one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse populations in the world. We are home to the world’s oldest continuous cultures, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, and being multicultural is central to our national identity.

This diversity in our population means that Christmas does not look the same to every child.
'Process art' ideas for Christmas
There's no better gift than one that’s been lovingly handmade by a child, and with the Christmas advent calendar countdown ready to kick-off now is a great time to bring forth the creativity with some process art projects.

Happy Holidays
From the team at CareforKids.com.au

That's a wrap!

As our final newsletter for 2019, we wanted to take the time to say a very special thank you for your continued support, and for being a loyal and valued member of the growing CareforKids.com.au community.

It's been a massive year for CareforKids.com.au as we have continued on our mission to ensure early childhood education and care providers can showcase their service and fill vacancies fast through connecting with parents looking for care.

To this end we have launched improvements to CareforKids.com.au this year, such as an enhanced Vacancy Alert, our Child Care Subsidy Calculator, and our Estimated Lifetime Leads Value, but we have also been working behind the scenes to ensure the early childhood sector receives the support it deserves.

This includes working with policy makers to support the development of a better early learning and care system for Australian families and advocating for the early childhood sector.

CareforKids.com.au is a great supporter of the extraordinary people who educate and care for Australia's most precious citizens and to this end we take great pride in showcasing the wonderful talent and experience of early childhood leaders and educators in our weekly newsletter.

We also use our newsletter to support the health and wellbeing of early childhood staff by ensuring managers have the information they need to take care of their people and support them to develop professionally.

It's been a busy year and we look forward to 2020, but now it's time for a break. So, from all of us to all of you, happy holidays!

Best wishes
