At Big Bear Academy, we are proud of our state-of-the-art Early Learning Centre, designed to enhance every area of a child’s development. Our environment encourages children to grow at their own pace while building strong, lasting relationships. We also offer casual days if families do not need full week attendance.
We provide a personalised learning experience focused on school readiness, emotional wellbeing, and self-help skills. Our curriculum blends structured and play-based learning and is enriched with incursions and excursions - all included in our fees. These cover cultural experiences, nature and sustainability, gross motor development, healthy eating, music, and more.
Childcare safety is at the heart of everything we do. All educators hold current Working With Children Checks and undergo regular training in Child Protection, CPR, and First Aid. We follow a strict two-educator policy, ensuring no child is left with one staff member, and exceed requirements on excursions with a 2:1 educator-to-child ratio. Our centre features CCTV across all learning areas (excluding bathrooms), and entry is strictly controlled for security.
We also protect children’s privacy online: we never show faces on social media, and events are only shared after they occur. Our safe, off-street car park and discreet location add an extra layer of security.
Our outdoor area is truly unique, with views of Parramatta Reserve providing a peaceful backdrop for exploration and Bush Kindy in summer. Indoors and outdoors, every day balances structured learning, free play, and discovery.
