My son has only been coming here a short time. But the amount of care offered to my child has been phenomenal. Having a child with extra quirks is hard on its own but with the help of little scholars has made it a lot smoother. Shout out to Miss Caroline for genuinely taking the time to get to know my son and sharing some first s with us. Appreciate you guys.

Our child attended little Scholars Staplyton for 2.5 years. The first 1.5 years we had such an amazing experience with consistent educators. There has always been a little staff turnover but over the last year before we left it was very high. No one seemed to knew how our child day was as multiple educators were coming in and out of each room and the lack of photos which was a concern for multiple parents meant we had no idea what our kids were up to everyday. Fast forward to our last year, there were signs that the service in our opinion was no longer up to our standard. Our child was 3.5 years old at the time and 6 months to a year before the incident, there was tears every morning and the struggle of not wanting to go to school (This was a red flag that we should have paid attention to). The final straw for us was when our child was pushed by another kid straight onto a concrete footpath. We raised concerns about this particular child a few days before the incident happened as we have witnessed on multiple occasions during our drop off window that this child was pushing other kids as well as babies who were all grouped in the same room during morning drop off. When we received the phone call, I asked immediately if it was this kid and for privacy reasons they couldn’t tell me. We rushed to pick up our child who provided the name of the child who we thought it was and went straight upstairs to see Jess and Miss Nat. They both admitted that it was the same child we had concerns about. We understand accidents happen but it shouldn’t be this severe. Our child had a massive bump, large cut and bruise for several months and a year later there is still an indent on where the impact was. Our child had to have an MRI at such a young age to confirm no internal damage had happened inside the brain. Our 3.5 year old child told us the teacher didn’t see it happen and a couple of kids in class came to the rescue. We can’t prove this but fully believed our child as our child was always responsible and mature beyond the years. The bump was not as bad on the first day so we sent our child to school the next day, we were assured another teacher was put into class to overshadow this child (we were told he wasn’t officially medically diagnosed as needing extra help even though they had spoken to the parents and encouraged them to get a formal diagnosis as the centre had seen some signs). If the center saw signs of a child needing help, they should put an extra person with that child regardless of if there was a formal medical diagnosis for the protection of other children in the class. The following day, our child was pushed over again by the same child and none of the teachers told us. I found out on the drive home and confirmed this the next day. After the 3rd day, the bruising got so much worse resulting in a swollen nose and blood running internally from the affected area. There was no call to us to advise that the head injury had severely gotten worse during the day. We picked our child up noticed her pupil were very dilated and immediately took her to the emergency room. We decided it was not in our best interest to go back, any further impact to the area would make the injury worse. We know there have been other injuries before and after our child caused by the same child. Our child has strived at a new school. It has taken a year to write this review, mainly because we know it was an accident but still believe it could have been prevented with proper management, it has come to my attention over the last year - there has been several negative reviews left quite similar. We had a high risk pregnancy at the time and the best way to not deal with the issue was to just pull our child out of the school. We didn’t need the extra stress. It’s been a year and we don’t know if the center has improved but if your gut feeling tells you something isn’t right it probably isn’t. We entrusted our child for 2.5 years and would like to thank Miss Montana, Miss Olivia and Miss Van who made a difference to our child during her early years.

My little boy loves going to kindy here, jess, bec, miss Mel and to be honest all of the staff are great, they know exactly who is who, it doesn't matter what class you are in all of the educators from different rooms know my little boys name. The enrolment was great and this was actually the only kindy that would help us with our circumstances (thanks Jess). The cook the food fresh on site and the meals are healthy and balanced!

Couldn’t recommend a better daycare! Staff and centre are absolutely amazing. My son loves the centre and adores the staff and loves going everyday.

the best centre for my little boy, the educators are all so caring, they have taught him so much and they all love him like their own. the management team Jess, Nat and Bec are so amazing and so accommodating. Best centre around!!!!

This centre use to be amazing however in the last 12 months Little Scholars began to put profit over quality. They lost an amazing centre director and kindy teacher, both who had been there for many years. The new director, Jess, was almost invisible in the 6 months leading up to my son finishing. The quality of care dropped massively, the educators seemed frustrated at the kids every single day and their turnover was big. The final straw for me was when my son was picked up in the afternoon and had a very large bump on his head - nobody knew what had happened, there was no incident report done and we weren’t notified of the incident occurring. The bump was that large that we took him straight to the doctor concerned he may have a concussion. I raised this with Jess and was given the run around multiple times, promised the report and policy would be sent to me, yet days later had to follow it up again and told “we had printer issues”, even though the policy is in a pdf file. Wasn’t really resolved as was told “staff will be spoken too”, that was it. Imagine smacking your head early in the day and not being given any ice or Panadol and no extra monitoring. Plenty of better childcare centres around, I’d steer clear until the owner Jay puts the focus back on care and not lining his wallet

I want to start by saying how grateful I am for the amazing educators my son had at Little Scholars—unfortunately, many have since left. When we first started, I couldn’t fault Little Scholars. The educators were wonderful, and communication was excellent. However, the last 5 months we were there, the quality of care and transparency declined significantly. Updates became inconsistent, sometimes nonexistent—we once went two weeks without a single daily update. What concerned me most was the lack of transparency about health risks. Cases of whooping cough, RSV, and hand, foot, and mouth disease were present in the nursery, yet parents weren’t informed. Educators were even told not to notify parents. The same happened with staffing changes—educators left or moved rooms without notice, and staff were instructed not to say anything. Staff morale seemed at an all-time low. Educators were burnt out and undervalued. I was especially concerned that untrained staff were counted in ratio from day one, which educators themselves confirmed. This had real consequences—my son once came home with dried feces on his back after a change by a new educator. Another time, he had a grab mark on his arm. When I raised this with the director, she reassured me that all educators would redo safe handling training. That never happened. Despite staffing shortages, the centre continued pushing for more bookings, offering coffee vouchers for booking extra casual days. While a great business strategy, it only works if there are enough staff to provide proper care. Instead, at times, the centre was out of ratio, impacting children’s care. Little Scholars promotes community involvement—giving hampers to businesses, flowers to strangers, and lunch to tradies. While nice, it’s frustrating to see money spent on promotions instead of staff training, appreciation, or resources. The centre itself is beautiful, and some educators made a real difference in my child’s life. But the red flags became too great for me to feel confident leaving my son there any longer. One final note: many five-star reviews were written by staff and others were made during giveaways where parents were asked to leave a review in exchange for a prize entry. That alone speaks volumes.

Great centre with wonderful and friendly staff who go above and beyond. My son loves it here and is all smiles and giggles when he sees the staff at drop off. Great location and close to my work which is very handy. Thank you for all your hard work ☺️
