Highly recommend Guardian Banksia Park! My children have been attending for a few months now and they settled in so quickly due to the caring and passionate educators and supportive leadership team. The Centre Director, Amy, does a great job ensuring the centre runs well and always has the children and families best interests as the highest priority.

I have had nothing but positive things for my child since starting. Lovely and engaged staff. My daughter loves the space she's in when at childcare. The chef is great. Story time is something I love. I always wonder what she gets up to in her days so at childcare it's really nice to read and see what's she's been doing. The most important thing to me as her mum is that my daughter feels safe and I know she does at Guardian.

If possible, I would give this childcare center a zero-rating. The current people in charge is extremely shameless incompetent, and has very poor professionalism. No wonder there have been countless changes of educators and management staff. I am sure more bad reviews will come ! Avoid this place.

My child attended Guardian Banksia park for approximately 1 year. While I found eductators in Nursey 1 & 2 to be caring, supportive and eager to help my child excel; Once he entered Toddler 1, there was a distinct change in his demeanor. He became easily frustrated, and started lashing out at us and other children. I originally thought this may have just been a phase and just a part of his development, however, I then became aware that he had been mishandled and abused by an educator in the room. The educator was subsequently stood down from the centre after another educator witnessed his mistreatment. Im unaware of how many times this had possibly occured before the educator had been caught. The centre then had my partner sign a incident report detailing the abuse but then changed the statement without my partners concent. This report included additional information (for instance that he was injured or traumatised but they told us he was not) and then also included new information (for instance the educator being allowed to work with my child for hours after the incident) that document was then provided to a government authority without notifying us of the change in documentation. Needless to say, these acts were fraudulent, deceptive and highly illegal. The way that this scenario was handled is shocking and appalling. Luckily it appears my son was not physically injured, however if he had been this would have been even more or a concerning situation for any parent. I'm still not aware of the psychological impact this has had on my child. I wouldnt recommend this centre to any family looking into daycare facilities.

My children have attended this centre for over a year now and we’ve had nothing but positive experiences across the rooms. My children both love the centre, and all educators and management have been amazing to deal with. Would highly recommend this centre to anyone looking!

We enrolled our child at Guardian Banksia Park expecting a safe, caring and consistent environment. In less than eight months we encountered extreme staff turnover, constant changes in educators, and communication that shifted between apps, newsletters and ad-hoc handovers. This left us unsure, day to day, who was caring for our child and whether staff even knew our child’s name or needs. This was clearly evident when we were even given handovers intended for another child until we corrected them and said that’s not even our child’s name… On multiple occasions at drop off, we witnessed children fighting with other children trying to break up fights themselves while casual staff members stood in the kitchen area watching. This was not a once off but a repeated pattern reported by multiple parents. Mixing very young children with older children without vigilant supervision is not acceptable. These repeated lapses amount to clear signs of neglect in supervising children safely. We collected our child one day with a large, visibly bleeding graze on the head. Staff insisted they arrived like that - yet as the parent who dropped our child off, we know there was no mark, and the centre’s own app photos from earlier that day visibly showed no graze. No incident report was provided and nobody could explain what happened. While we understand accidents happen quickly, a bleeding forehead should never go unnoticed; failure to document or report it is a textbook sign of neglect. The absolute cherry on top was being called by another parent to say our child had been crying in distress when they were picking up their child. When we arrived our child was pale, unsteady on their feet, their face was puffy, and they visibly looked unwell. Immediately I could feel a temperature. Staff told us our child had been “fine all day” may have needed another nap but this room doesn’t allow for additional nap while he was in a transitioning room period. We asked for a thermometer (which they had to find batteries for it) and the temperature read 38.8°C. The educator who handed our child over had just told another parent they had been upset and crying “all day” but told us the opposite not to mention the check in phone call we made during the day. This showed not only a failure to recognise illness but also a direct contradiction in what staff were saying, not to mention discussing our child with another parent. But also calling the other parent who witness the distress crying and what was verbalised about my child was then called a liar as “they trust their staff”. Allowing a visibly unwell child to remain in care without monitoring or informing parents (who rang during the day) is another clear sign of neglect. When we raised these issues directly, the Centre Manager told us, I quote: “If you’re not happy then leave.” While she was mentioning they had “solutions and strategies,” they could not say what they were or how they would prevent a repeat of these incidents other than “trusting their staff” and to speak to the portfolio manager who clearly just followed along with their story. These are not minor teething issues. They are fundamental failures in staff stability, supervision, communication, transparency, and basic duty of care, the very foundations of safe early childhood care. While accidents can happen anywhere, Guardian Banksia Park’s handling of them showed evasion, inconsistency and neglect rather than accountability. When children are at an age where they’re not yet fully verbal, parents place enormous trust in a centre to notice distress, communicate clearly and keep their child safe. To go through what we did, then be told “if you’re not happy then leave,” makes you feel dismissed, powerless and deeply concerned about leaving your child there another day. Parents deserve to know what they are walking into. Based on our experience (and others!) Guardian Banksia Park is not a safe or trustworthy environment for young precious children.

Just wanted to edit my review to also note: The centre replied (below) as you can see. I contacted them regarding their investigation (as they mentioned I could with any questions). They openly told me that they posted their enrolment number for me to call which couldn’t help me. Then they had someone else call me back to let me know, there is no investigation and that they shouldn’t have said that. My child attended Guardian Banksia Park for approximately one year, and based on my experience, I strongly urge other families to exercise extreme caution before considering this centre. On 25 August 2025, I received a call from the Centre Director informing me that my son—who is under two years old—had been aggressively handled by an educator. This incident was substantiated by the Education Standards Board and acknowledged by the centre itself. Despite the seriousness of what occurred, I was not contacted until over four hours later, with the explanation that “internal processes take time.” During that time, the educator continued to work in the room with my child, supposedly under “supervision.” However, through their Story Park updates I can see no signs of anyone supervising this educator, and strangely there is not one photo of my son (not even in the background of over 30 photos). According to the centre’s own report, my son experienced injury and/or trauma—yet this was not what I was initially led to believe. In fact I was explicitly told that was not the case. From this point forward, my dealings with Guardian Banksia Park were defined by conflicting accounts, altered documentation, and a disturbing lack of transparency. I was asked to sign a report which was later changed without my knowledge, yet still included my signature. Head office has since acknowledged in writing that the report was altered and I did not sign the report that had been emailed to me. When I sought clarity, direct communication from the Director abruptly ceased, and I was only contacted by a Portfolio Manager. At one point, I was even told that incidents of this nature are “distressing for educators to report to parents”—a statement that speaks volumes about where their priorities lie. The handling of the educator involved is equally troubling. I was originally told—during a recorded phone call—that the individual had been “let go.” This was later proven false. Only after I was inadvertently given the educator’s name did I learn the truth: they had been “stood down” for investigation. The person remained employed until the Education Standards Board’s investigation concluded. In my view, this was a deliberate attempt to mislead me into believing the matter had been resolved, to keep my child enrolled and fees coming in. Coupled with their high staff turnover, I believe they assumed I would not be able to identify the educator involved. But unfortunately they showed me her name on their computer screen. I recognise that incidents can occur in any childcare setting. What I cannot accept—and what parents should be gravely concerned about—is the way Guardian Banksia Park handled this incident: with evasiveness, dishonesty, and clear prioritisation of their own interests over a child’s wellbeing. If your child is ever involved in an incident here, I strongly advise you to demand everything in writing and be prepared for attempts to gaslight and minimise your concerns. For these reasons, I cannot and will not recommend Guardian Banksia Park as a safe or trustworthy environment for children. Your child deserves better.

Highly recommend Guardian Banksia Park, the educators are all passionate and care for the children so well. My children have loved coming to see all their friends and enjoy all the lovely learning experiences that are set up. Management are very professional and have always been there to help my children and myself in times of need.
