Our experience with Thrive Blakehurst has truly been nothing short of wonderful, and I felt inspired to share just how grateful our family is. When my daughter first started back in 2024, she was only 9 months old, so naturally it was a very emotional transition for us as parents. From the very beginning, the team created such a warm, supportive and nurturing environment that it didn’t just help my child settle — it gave our entire family genuine peace of mind. The educators took the time to really understand her personality, her routines, and what made her feel safe and secure. Watching her grow in confidence, form friendships, and genuinely look forward to her days there reassured us that we had chosen the right place. And of course, kids will be kids — on the rare occasions where little incidents have happened, everything has always been handled with professionalism, care, and sensitivity, while maintaining confidentiality and respect for all families involved. That level of trust and professionalism has meant so much to us. Now, as our youngest — who is also just 8 months old — prepares to attend, our appreciation for the centre has only grown deeper. Because of his specific health circumstances, communication has been incredibly important to us, and the staff have gone above and beyond in holding space for every conversation, question, and concern I’ve had. As much communication as I have needed, they have met me with patience, understanding, and reassurance. At no point have I felt rushed or dismissed — instead, I have consistently felt listened to, supported, and respected. The room educators in particular have shown genuine compassion and professionalism, making sure we feel included and informed every step of the way. It’s rare to find a centre where you genuinely feel heard as a parent, and where your children are cared for as individuals rather than just part of a routine. The kindness, patience, and dedication shown by the team have made a lasting impact on our family. Knowing that both of my children are, and will be, surrounded by educators who truly care brings an incredible sense of comfort. We are so thankful to be part of such a supportive community and would wholeheartedly recommend this centre to any family looking for a place where children are nurtured, supported, and truly valued — while parents feel just as cared for along the journey.

Thrive Early Learning Centre Blakehurst truly goes above and beyond for both children and families. My son attends Thrive full time, and I honestly cannot fault the centre or the educators in any way. My son struggles with certain behaviours, and the individual support he receives through their "Strive to Thrive" plan has been incredible. The educators genuinely take the time to understand his needs, support him one-on-one, and help him grow. Since attending Thrive, he has learned so much and continues to make positive progress every day. From the moment I toured the centre, I felt completely at home. The leadership team is warm, caring, and attentive — they truly listened to what our family needed and made us feel supported from the very beginning. I am so grateful for the care, dedication, and passion shown by everyone at Thrive. My experience at this centre has been nothing but professional. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They treat children according to their individual needs. My child comes home happy and excited to tell me about the day. They also provide education which holds them in good stead for the school years ahead.

Coming to Blakehurst thrive has been like finding a second family. From admin to the educators are all caring and welcoming. Living up to their name, they are always THRIVING to give our children the best and updated education and commodities. Updating the rooms frequently which gives it always a sense of fresh air and dynamic and always exciting for the kids to walk in to.

I recently attended the Centre and was impressed with how - above and beyond - the staff go to give the kids a positive experience. I especially loved their Wonderworld truck installation event. The kids had a blast and learned so much. I would recommend this Centre to anyone looking for a caring team and educational experience that is fun also for the kids.

Our family could not be happier with our experience at Thrive Blakehurst. From the moment we entered, we were struck by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the obvious dedication of the educators. The centre’s philosophy isn't just words on a wall—it’s evident in every interaction. The learning environments are thoughtfully curated, balancing stimulating, inquiry-based projects (like fascinating nature investigations with magnifiers and taxidermy) with joyful, sensory-rich play (such as creative stamping with natural materials). We have watched our child’s confidence and curiosity blossom here. The communication from the team is consistent and genuine, making us feel like true partners in our child's learning journey. Thrive Blakehurst has provided not just exceptional care, but a foundational community where our child is known, valued, and encouraged to grow every single day. I feel compelled to share my experience at Thrive Daycare, as it’s crucial for other parents to be aware of my concerns regarding staff negligence that has profoundly affected my child’s well-being and my family’s stability. I am writing this review because I have serious concerns about what is happening behind closed doors at this facility. My son started attending Thrive in 2021 when he was just 18 months old. Initially, there were minor issues, but things escalated dramatically when he entered the pre-K room, where Vanessa, one of the educators, had her son, Marcelo, enrolled. This child exhibited significant behavioral challenges, and unfortunately, many other children began to mirror his behaviors. Despite my numerous complaints regarding this dynamic, the staff failed to adequately address the situation. Although Marcelo eventually left for another school, my son and several other children had already been impacted by the negative environment. The lack of communication about my son’s behavioral issues was alarming. I was rarely informed about incidents involving Christos, and any communication I did receive was minimal—typically limited to signing reports for singular incidents, which often lacked proper documentation due to technical issues with their system being down. Furthermore, there was no proactive plan in place to help Christos regulate his emotions or any meaningful discussions about strategies to support his social and emotional development. The situation took a concerning turn when another parent raised complaints, which resulted in my son being terminated from Thrive without the required two weeks' notice, despite their own policies and procedures not being followed. This abrupt decision left me in an incredibly difficult position, as I lost my full-time job and was at serious risk of homelessness due to my inability to keep up with rent. This was not merely about a child being terminated from daycare; it had a profound impact on my life, and I have been unable to work since June 2025. I now find myself anxiously waiting for my son to start school in the February, terrified of trusting him to another daycare full-time. I have been urged by CAMHS, Goodstart staff, and my son’s trauma therapist to report these incidents. I have held multiple appointments and meetings with psychologists to express concerns regarding my son’s upcoming kindergarten placement, as I fear for his safety given the circumstances. It is alarming that Thrive’s staff never contacted me about these critical issues, and when I took the step of writing an email to the director expressing my concerns, I was met with a dismissive response, lacking any sympathy or proper action. I want to highlight that Christos graduated from Pre-K at Goodstart in Hurstville and was described as a wonderful child to be around. This is the same child Thrive claimed posed a danger to their staff. I have reported these issues to the childcare department of education and am currently awaiting their response. I strongly encourage any parent who suspects that any educator may not be acting in the best interest of any child to file a report. Protecting our children is paramount, and it is unacceptable for educators to yell at, pinch, or harm them in any way while they are under their care. Thrive Daycare needs to reassess their approach and policies regarding vulnerable children. I also want to clarify that Thrive has not provided any incident reports or documents supporting their allegations and reasons for my child’s termination. They continue to assert that they are not legally required to provide these documents, despite I’ve been informed by multiple sources, including the Department of Education, that they are indeed obligated to do so.
