Story House Early Learning Fawkner offers a contemporary, nurturing early education experience designed to inspire confidence, curiosity and connection. Catering for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, our service provides a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where every child is supported to thrive.
Our thoughtfully designed learning spaces — both indoors and outdoors — encourage exploration, creativity and meaningful play. Through our play-based, child-led approach, children participate in enriching experiences including sensory learning, creative arts, early STEM, outdoor discovery and social-emotional development.
At Fawkner, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our passionate and qualified educators work in close partnership with families to support each child’s unique strengths, interests and developmental milestones. We believe early childhood is a time to build strong foundations for lifelong learning, resilience and wellbeing.
Our tailored STRONG Beginnings Curriculum supports literacy, numeracy and school readiness, while maintaining a strong focus on play, imagination and holistic growth. Children also enjoy nutritious meals freshly prepared each day to fuel busy bodies and growing minds.

State Government Approved Programs
At Story House Early Learning Fawkner, we pride ourselves on providing a fun, caring, educational and welcoming environment for our families, children and staff.
Parents are actively encouraged to participate in the program at Story House Early Learning. They can support special events and celebrations as well as sharing their skills or hobbies with the children.
The government-funded Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs are led by fully qualified and experienced kindergarten teachers. The programs focus on preparing children for kindergarten and school in regards to the development of social, emotional, language, literacy and numeracy skills.
The children can also participate in a specially designed music program by Hey Dee Ho Music and a sports program run by Little Sports Heroes. Regular incursions and excursions help to further develop the children’s learning.
Based on the Early Years Learning Framework, the curriculum at Story House Early Learning provides opportunities for the children to learn in the ways that come most naturally to them. Through uninterrupted play and exploration they discover the world around them and explore their skills and strengths.
The experienced educators tailor the curriculum to the needs of each child and their stage across six rooms:
• Lavender Room (Nursery) 0 - 1 years
• Purple Room 1 - 2 years
• Green Room 2 - 2.5 years
• Aqua Room 2.5 - 3 years
• Blue Room (Pre-Kinder) 3 - 4 years
• Red Room (Kindergarten) 4 - 6 years
The educators also keep a daily journal for each child so the parents can track their progress and see the adventures their child has each day.
All meals are provided at Story House Early Learning including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. The healthy and nutritious menu is prepared by a nutritionist and meals are designed to fuel the children for a busy day of play and learning.

It gives me great peace of mind knowing they are in a safe and nurturing environment each day. I really appreciate that the centre provides Huggies Essential nappies — it makes things so much easier for families and shows how thoughtful and organised the centre is. The environment is very welcoming and family-oriented. From the moment you walk in, you feel comfortable and supported. The management team is also very approachable and supportive, always ready to listen and help when needed.
