Explorers Learning Academy in Bardia is located near Denham Court, Edmondson Park and Ingleburn Gardens. The newly built centre sits at the foot of the iconic beautifully painted water tower that you can see from miles around.

We opened the centre in May 2020 proudly offering education and care to the youngest members of the Bardia community.

Our huge backyard is perfect for the children to explore the outdoors in a natural grass environment, where they get to run up a big hill and enjoy the space and freedom that the garden offers. Our children also tend to vegetable and herb gardens and fruit trees, which are all used in the nutritious meals prepared by our very own chef.

Many of our children are from Nepalese, Chinese, Indian, Bangladeshi and Australian backgrounds giving us wonderful opportunities to share and learn from other cultures who call Australia home. All children here at Explorers Learning Academy learn what it truly means to be a good friend to everyone.

Our daughter attended Explorers when they first opened. We had to leave as we were moving and left with great sadness! Our daughter LOVED it at Explorers Learning Academy. We especially appreciated the educators, managers and directors Lindsey and Rachel who worked tirelessly, especially during COVID in 2020. They were quick with emails, helpful with updates regarding covid. Our daughter made caring friendships and loved her classroom teachers, who always comforted her as she is a shy little girl. We still talk VERY fondly of Explorers and I always recommend them to anyone I meet who lives in the area even though we have since moved away from the area. Thank you Explorers for such a positive daycare experience for our girl!! :)

One of my daughters already attends this childcare and my little one will also be attending here soon. I can honestly say that this facility is great. The educators are so helpful, kind and know how to make the children feel at home. I am so pleased with their service! The activites they do day to day with the children are so creative and fun. Best part is that there is no guess work, they have an app that tells you when (and how much) your child has eaten during the day, when sunscreen was applied, if they drank water etc. This really gives me a peice of mind being a very busy mum, I know that my daughter is being taken care of properly. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

My daughter has been attending this childcare for almost a year now. When she first began going here, she was shy and very nervous. All the staff helpped her overcome her fears and made her feel so welcome! I would highly recommend this facility for any parent. I can leave my daughter here and know that she is in good hands. The food they provide caters for all (including for children with allergies). All the educators are so friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and new!

If I could give this center a 10 star rating I would! The ladies here are absolutely fabulous. We have 2 gorgeous little girls who attend the center (1 and 4).

Wow, to the other reviews. Yes, everyone has their own opinion and experience that they may or may not have had at this centre, but I must say that my experience has been outstanding. My daughter has been attending this centre for now 9 months. My husband and I are always making sure that our daughter is always getting the learning and care that she needs. I cannot fault this centre. She is happy and so are we. Seeing the changes in her every day makes us very comfortable that we have made the right decision enrolling her in the right place. The educators are amazing. The professionalism, care, and passion that they have is just fantastic. My husband and I are all about communication and this is exactly what we get from Rachel and her team. Well done girls!! 👍🏼

I would give zero stars if it was an option. This day care is unprofessional and they do not teach the kids anything. The managers Rachel and Lindsey are very rude and unprofessional. Even prior to enrolling my son, I came to the centre to ask questions and talked to Rachel and linsey over the phone, they are both abrupt and rude. Their appoarch is to let the kids learn on their own. I am all for ‘learning through play’ but they have below standard of care and teaching. The only positives I would state of this centre is that it is large, new and good location. I asked numerous times for a update on my sons progress there and they refused to tell me anything other that ‘he is fine’. When you go to drop your kids and pick them up, you feel as they just want you to quickly leave and not to talk to any of the staff. When I advised them that only after three weeks I wanted to withdraw my son out, they expressed no concern or asked any questions as to why I was not happy with the centre. I have also heard similar negative reviews from at least 4 other parents. I expressed my concerns to Lindsey who could not handle constructive criticism, she started to argue with me and asking me who I am to make judgements of the centre. I honestly don’t understand how it is still in business, perhaps due to the limited day cares in the area and its convenient location. I put my son back into his previous day care in austral and very satisfied with it.

I still remember during 2020 winter. They let them play outside at 5 degrees Celsius in the windy early morning. Later that day they called me to pick my girl up due to runny nose. COVID is a VERY good reason for them to send kids home. Anyway, it is based on my previous experience at this centre. Maybe they have improved now. I hope more childcare centres to open in this area in order to have more competition to improve their service.
