We attended the centre when it first opened in 2023 and were not impressed at the time, so we chose to leave and attend another service for a little over a year. Towards the end of last year, we decided to return after learning there had been a change in management, which was our main reason for leaving. Since coming back, the centre has had one of the biggest turnarounds I’ve ever seen. The directors are incredibly welcoming and attentive to our family’s needs. My children have come so far in their development and absolutely love attending—it truly feels like a home away from home for them.

Our 4-year-old has been attending Children’s First – Evanston Park in the Kindy room, and we’ve had an overwhelmingly positive experience. From the start, the educators have made our child feel welcomed, supported, and excited to come each day. The Kindy room staff are nurturing, patient, and clearly dedicated to the growth and well-being of every child. Our child has made great progress both socially and academically—gaining confidence, forming friendships, and developing key skills that will make the transition to school much smoother. We love the structured yet playful learning environment. The activities are creative, engaging, and thoughtfully planned to suit the children’s interests and developmental stages. The daily communication is also excellent—we receive regular updates and photos, which is so reassuring as a parent. The centre is always clean, safe, and well-resourced, and the outdoor play areas are fantastic. Meals are nutritious and varied, and they’ve been great at accommodating preferences and dietary needs. Overall, we feel incredibly lucky to have found Children’s First – Evanston Park.

Not the best child care centre. Great at first then changed about 12 months ago. The Highest staff turnover I have ever seen, couldn't even tell you how many different faces we seen in the span of 6 months or so. Voiced my concern at Xmas last year to the centre director and she didn't care. Centre directors not very helpful. Many that's been there since we have been enrolled. Emma was great. Most Staff don't communicate with you or acknowledge you, we only have 2 educators that actually will speak and tell us how the day was. My child had an incident where she was injured, upon picking her up no one even knew about he injury, (happened 6 months ago and still has a big scar to show for it). 2 days of asking what happened for something to be done about it. Burn mark about 5 CMS. There was no follow up on it from the centre. There is no responsibility for the children's shoes, socks, clothing and drink bottle, every night at pickup we are constantly trying to find the drink bottle. Searching outside and several rooms as they all go in different rooms after a certain time and everything is left behind and we don't know what room they are in. Yet again staff changes. Staff that don't even engage with the children let alone listen to them. We don't even know who they are, no names etc all complete strangers everyday. How are children going to get use to anyone when they don't even know who is the educator. My child doesn't even want to go any more because her educator is been forced to move to another room. Chloe is awesome, she is great with my child and is the only educator my child will stay with easily at drop off, soon to be going back to having strangers in the room once again. The only reason we are still enrolled because she finishes soon and it is right near my place of work.

Embarrassment of a childcare centre.

Worst childcare I have ever been too. My child broke a bone while in the care of the centre and I was not notified of the incident or told when I arrived at the end of the day to pick my child up. The lack of care I received from the Director is appalling. Since the change of Director the centre has gone down hill and it is very disappointing.

Worst centre we have ever been enrolled into. Constant staff turnover as many as 10 that I can think of in 6-8 weeks leaving, educators don’t comfort children when dropped off. Frequently don’t have hats on or shoes on when they are outside. Centre director Dilini is absolutely useless in every way possible, my 3 year old would do a better job of managing the place! Particularly disgusted in an incident on 24/2/25 when myself (a parent) caught a child ingesting a spray bottle of chemicals while not being supervised by staff. He let himself into the toileting area and climbed up to the spray left out carelessly by staff. All the good staff members have left to go to a new centre due to how poorly the centre is ran. Extremely concerning how they are still operating with many other parents having safety concerns and also pulling their children out effective immediately.

I have only had positive experiences with Children First Evanston Park. The educators are beautiful and caring, they are attentive to child needs and if there has been an issue or feedback they are quick to address and resolve. We love the updates during the day. Dilini is a great asset to the team, very friendly and approachable and gets to know each child and family. We really appreciated Dilini introducing herself to us and asked about my sons routine and interests to ensure that the team could best support him in care. It's very comforting to know he is in great hands and he absolutely loves it there.
