Welcome to Neutral Bay Pre-School

At Neutral Bay Pre-School, children aged 2 to 6 years enjoy a loving and nurturing environment. Part of the community for more than 30 years, the centre is a home-away-from-home for the children and their families. The centre proudly supports the local community in connection with the neighbouring St. Augustine’s church.

In the expansive outdoor play areas, the children are free to explore the world around them. They can dig in the sandpit, play on the equipment or tend to the centre gardens. There is ample space for running, playing and building important physical and social skills. The area is also well shaded to ensure sun safety during the day.

Indoors, the learning spaces are light and bright, decorated beautifully with the children’s artwork. The children have access to a range of learning resources to spark their imaginations. They also enjoy a mix of small and large group learning experiences.

Programs

The program at Neutral Bay Pre-School introduces the children to a range of skills, incorporating small group learning activities and structured and unstructured play-based learning.

The programs include:

Sports: specialist coaches visit the centre twice a week to introduce the children to different sports and skills.
Community: the centre works in partnership with St Augustine’s church to support local families.
Creative play: the children learn self-expression through various forms of creativity.
Languages: the centre focuses on a different language each year so the children can learn to respect different cultures.
Yoga: each week, the children enjoy ‘zen’ time with a yoga class.
Outdoor play: making the most of the large outdoor area, the children explore the world around them.
School readiness program: run by an Early Childhood Teacher, the program helps the children to prepare for the transition to big school.
