Spence Children's Cottage is a lovely Centre. The staff are wonderful, they are very experienced educators and all are kind, nurturing and committed to the children. I've had two children go through the Cottage during the past six years and have always found it to be a wonderful and caring place. The Cottage is small and encourages a safe, home-like environment. Children across all age groups socialise and learn together, but also engage in age appropriate learning. It's a fantastic early childhood centre!
Spence Children's Cottage is a small self funded centre, so I know every cent goes towards improving the facilities and care of the children. Because it is small, it allows all the children to interact with each other at some point during the day and of course, this allows the little ones to watch and learn the older ones. The staff there have been there long term (half of them over 10 years!), and the turnover of staff is very low, so they must be doing something right. The feel of the place is so home like. I cant fault the way they care (and now I have my 2nd child going through there). I highly recommend this facility.
