This is one of the few remaining childcares that prioritizes Anglo Australians over minorities, including the ever increasing number of Chinese and Indian parents clamoring for places. It's a oasis in a sea of forced multiculturalism. It's also reflected in the instructors particularly in the kinder room who are true patriots and ensure the few minority students who do get in understand their place. 🇦🇺🇦🇺✊✊

Was at the library today and overheard and witnessed the way the kinder teacher spoke to the children and was disgusted. The main kinder teacher was dismissive to certain children with non Australian backgrounds and spent the rest of the time telling all of them off.

Our son attended two other child care centres before starting at Highgate, and this has been his favourite by far. He calls it “the small daycare” and is always excited to go—which makes our lives so much easier knowing he genuinely enjoys being there. The educators are amazing, and there’s a lovely sense of community that really sets Highgate apart. We couldn’t be happier.

Our son is in his second year at Highgate and he just adores it. The quality of care, consistency of wonderful educators, and great community feeling is streets ahead of our previous childcare experience. We’ve particularly appreciated the small class sizes and how hard the staff work to make everyone (children and parents!) feel welcome. We would highly recommend Highgate to anyone!

We have seen our two boys go through Highgate over the past 6 years and love the centre. The staff are wonderful and we are grateful for their care and guidance. A great centre in the middle of the Ashburton community.

This is our second year at Highgate ELC and it is such a wonderful centre with great community feel. My daughter is so excited to go to Kinder each Monday and adores her educators (Mia, Nancy, Kelly and Ali).

We’ve had two boys go through Highgate and they both absolutely loved it, such a great centre with fabulous carers. We always felt they were in such safe hands. Highly recommend to anyone.
