Our son has been attending FELC three days a week for the past year and we can’t say enough about this place. The people, the building, the playground…. But mostly it’s about the people. They are everything you could ask for in childcare and education staff. Our little dude loves them like family.

We love FELC. We have two little ones attending and they are both so happy here after moving. They have made amazing friends and often mention their educators as the people they miss over the holidays. The centre is in an unassuming spot, and the surrounding area might surprise you, but inside FELC really feels like a sanctuary. The educators are lovely and creative, the spaces are engaging and thoughtfully set up (we love the art studio!) and best of all the community of parents is incredible. It's been wonderful for our kids and for us.

Educators are wonderful. Outside spaces are fantastic. My daughter is excited to come every day!

I felt compelled to write a review after reading some of the more recent ones. Our experience with the Weitj and Kwelena rooms has been amazing. The staff really care about the children. Right from the start they celebrated the uniqueness of our little one. The sense of community and the events they hold is really sweet. We were a bit nervous sending our little one to daycare and couldn’t be happier with our choice.

My daughter had a lovely time here and felt supported by her educators in 2022. However, this year when I enrolled my 2.5 year old son there had been a big staff turnover and it was a hard transition for him. I was starting a new job and drop-offs were very stressful with not enough staff to help him settle and he was crying on pick ups aswell. After getting help from my mum to care for him for just over a month (because she didn't want to do the drop-off either) I asked to unerol him because it wasn't getting any easier. The Director just replied with a "Sure, we will unerol him in the next pay cycle." The next couple of weeks I got lumped with a $1200 bill. After waiting 2 weeks for communication about why this had occurred, calling and emailing with no response the director explained that it was the Child Care Subsidy revoked for the time he was absent. Centrelink informed me that if the child does not attend the daycare the week before unenrolment then all ChildCare Subsidy is revoked for the days absent beforehand. They told me the director would have known this information as she deals with people on the CCS everyday and she could have informed me to just attend one day for me to receive the Subsidy for all the previous days. I didn't feel like she cared or had any understanding for my situation.

Just a reminder the 5 star review for this daycare was from years ago. Most of the good educators or even the manager has left the centre. Our experience with this centre wasn't a good one. Yes there are one or two educators who are still amazing, but most lack communication, huge turnover of staffs, we have been in this centre for more than a year, they still don't know my name, some of them don't even know my son's name! And they don't even acknowledge you during pickup, not even a simple hi and bye.

We love FELC, our child started at 7 months old, and has absolutely flourished here first in Kwelena (babies: 0-1), and now in Weitj (toddlers: 1-2). The team of educators are phenomenal, are so engaged and provide such beautiful care and learning through play. A real feature is lots of time outdoors in a rad nature-play space focused on one side for the little kids size and capability, and a big kids side, allowing for lots of interaction between rooms as well.

We had sent all three of our children to this childcare centre despite it being quite some distance from home. Fantastic facility with genuinely caring and considerate staff. Can't recommend it enough.
