All three of my children have been cared for by the amazingly talented and caring educators at SDN house at Pooh corner. The centre is a rich and welcoming community that really gives kids a chance to shine. We are so grateful for the skill and kindness that the loving staff from management, to cooks and teachers have shown all of our kids over the years. Highly recommend.

We had such a bad experience. My daughter didn’t know English and there was no support from the staffs to encourage her to learn English. Most of them are not educated and they maybe only trained for this position. When they couldn’t stablish a good rapport with my daughter they have claimed this is my child who has abnormal behavior. The only staff who was really devoted was Elsie that all the children love her. There is no communication activity and whenever I was there I have observed each kid was playing separately. I don’t recommend this childcare to anyone specially the ones who are second language learners.
SDN House at Pooh Corner caters for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, providing quality care and education in a play-based learning model. Through a child-led learning approach, the children at SDN House at Pooh Corner learn in a safe, healthy, happy and stimulating environment.
The centre is part of SDN Children's Services, which is a not for profit organisation.
The outdoor space, surrounded by greenery, has been designed to stimulate play, exploration and imagination. With various outdoor equipment including a sandpit, a playhouse and an exciting space with a wigwam, appropriately called ‘House at Pooh Corner,’ the children have lots of fun and adventures.
Inside, the colourful rooms are well-resourced for different age groups and interests. The spaces include arts and crafts, imaginative play, a family corner, and puzzles for the children to explore.
Located right in the heart of the UNSW’s Kensington Campus and overlooking the village green, the centre is well-established in the community and close to public transport.
