Choosing Halifax Children’s Centre has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my little one, who’s now a toddler. The warmth, care, and kindness the educators and staff offer are truly unmatchable. The centre is filled with genuinely good-hearted people, which makes it feel extra safe and comforting for both children and parents. The educators in Room 1 and Room 2, along with all the staff, have become like family to us through their love and support. We will truly miss this wonderful place. Highly recommend Halifax to any parent looking for a nurturing, safe, and caring environment. Plus, the food is absolutely delicious—another big bonus! Read more

Both of our children have attended Halifax Street Children's Centre & Preschool and I can't say enough about how happy we are with the care and education they have received there. The educators and staff are nurturing, supportive, and professional. The emphasis that the Centre's team places on the Early Years Learning Framework and Curriculum ensured that our eldest was more than ready for primary school by the time she finished. The Centre is conveniently located for city-based professionals and has excellent opening hours. We also love the Centre's strong emphasis on food and nutrition, and it is so reassuring to know that my children have had well-balanced and nutritious meals throughout the day. The staff also encourage the children to be active participants in the food-making process, which was always a highlight for my eldest. Halifax St Children's Centre & Preschool is an exemplar centre and I cannot recommend it more highly. Read more

Both of our children started at Halifax St Children's Centre at 6 months old and we have now been part of the community... Both of our children started at Halifax St Children's Centre at 6 months old and we have now been part of the community for 5 years. I couldn't recommend the centre enough for our children's care. When returning with our 2nd baby, there was no hesitation or nerves when dropping him in the morning - it simply feels like leaving him with family. A loving group of people to care for our children, delicious and nutritious food for them to enjoy and great play spaces have meant that we will continue to travel from West Beach to the city for Halifax Street Children's Centre. I couldn't recommend the centre enough. Read more

My child eagerly wants to come to the Centre thanks to the friendly atmosphere that is created by her educators and other staff members (we have managed to build connections far beyond our room which is lovely to witness). Love the daily updates of what activities they are involved in. The educators go above and beyond to change the curriculum and the rooms set ups to make it exciting for the kids and contribute to their learning experiences. The food is always delicious and kids are often involved in helping prepare the meals. Read more

Fate led us to this lovely little school on Halifax St. The Director, Demi Ikon is a wonderful person, very helpful, supported us massively in guiding and navigating through department formalities, also with the learning plan. All the Educators at the centre do a fantastic job and my daughter loves and looks forward to go to school to play with her friends and teachers.
