We were quite apprehensive when our daughter started daycare as she had separation anxiety but Nasim and the staff made the transition a really positive experience. They allowed us to have drop in visits on many occasions for my daughter to acclimatise to the space and the educators. Once she started, at each drop off they offered her extra comforts and accommodated to her needs which we really appreciated. She is now so comfortable there! We like that it is a small centre where all the educators know every child. We love being able to see what they are doing throughout the day on the app, which is always something new and creative, and my daughter loves the food and often asks for extra servings! They have also been really accomodating when we needed to add extra causal days on top of our regular days. We have had a really positive experience at SDN and would recommend it to anyone. She started when she was 1 and this is her first childcare centre. She has settled well as the educators are so lovely and caring. The director is kind and approachable. Our oldest son was at SDN North Sydney from 9 months old until we moved abroad when he was 3 years of age.... Our oldest son was at SDN North Sydney from 9 months old until we moved abroad when he was 3 years of age. Many of the educators from back then are now familiar faces looking after our youngest son, who is now in the toddler room. Both our boys have loved their time at SDN- there is a good mix of indoor and outdoor time, structured and unstructured activities and food that they seem to prefer to our meals! The educators have all been very caring and take a genuine interest in the kids’ development, with regular updates about development observations and plans formed as a result. They are also very professional, updating parents on the kids’ routines, toileting during the day and any bumps/falls etc. Nasim, the new centre director who joined while we were away, is a huge asset. She is extremely hard working, ensuring the smooth running of the centre behind the scenes, but also is a friendly greeting in the morning to make drop offs that bit easier. We’ve had an extremely positive experience with the centre and therefore would recommend it to anyone. Read more

Our son has been at SDN for two years now and we are very happy (more importantly our little one is as well!). The educators are awesome and we can't thank them enough for the hard jobs they do. We were slightly concerned when there were a few director changes but that seems to have stabilised. The current director (Ms Nassim) is very involved and hands on which is always great to see. After moving house, we had to transition our 1.5 and 3.5 year old from SDN Woolloomooloo (which we absolutely loved) to SDN North... After moving house, we had to transition our 1.5 and 3.5 year old from SDN Woolloomooloo (which we absolutely loved) to SDN North Sydney. The experience has been just as great. The transition process was seamless from both ends. Nasim, the centre director, and all the educators were incredibly supportive and welcoming. They took the time to get to know our children, made them feel safe and settled, and kept us informed throughout the process. Both kids have settled in beautifully and genuinely love going. We’re so grateful to have found another SDN centre that feels like home. Highly recommend SDN North Sydney! Read more
